I don’t wear much make-up - I would love to up my game a little but I don’t know how! Also I’m lazy. So I use a dark brown Sephora eyeliner, Buxom mascara, Nars Orgasm blush (during the week, Benefit cheek stain on weekends) and MAC Ladybug lipstick.

I use Drunk Elephant vitamin C serum, SKII CC cream, Bobbi Brown eyeliner, Benefit Hoola bronzer, and Naked palette eyeshadow.

So I’m currently revamping my skincare routine since getting what I think is postpartum hormonal acne. I’m changing it all up and not wearing much makeup now until I get my skin under control Ugh

But what I used to wear was:
Laura mercier mineral foundation powder or Laura mercier or nars tinted moisturizer. NARS blush or hourglass ambient light blush. Estée Lauder mascara. Sometimes Laura mercier matte caviar eyeshadow sticks in a really neutral color.
If I want a bit more oomph or coverage I use Clinique acne solutions liquid makeup withs. Beauty blender, same blush, either metallic or matte laura mercier caviar eyeshadow stick, same mascara, ysl touché eclat highlighter/concealer.
But as I said I’m taking it back to basics now. I’ve purchased some stuff from The Ordinary to play around with and I’ve fallen down the rabbit hole that is the subreddit SkinCareAddiction. I also like Sunday Riley good genes as a mild chemical exfoliant.

@Littlebit7: what did you end up with from the ordinary? I keep looking and then can't decide

I use a Korean softener/essence to hydrate my face in the morning, then use the Ordinary's light coverage foundation or my Iope air cushion compact. I draw my eyebrows in using TonyMoly's 7 day brow tattoo pen (it doesn't last 7 days, its just what its called) and recently got eyelash extensions, so no eye makeup for me right now! Before lash extensions, I used Karadium eyeshadow stick in Milk Chocolate and a gel eyeliner in a dark brown - the brand on that changes all the time - with a stiff angled brush. Cheeks are either Torrid by NARS or a dupe for Orgasm by ELF Cosmetics. Lips are either Revlon Colorstay Gloss in Sunbaked or Clinique Tenderheart, which has been my go-to forever.

@MamaBear87: haha a lot. It was all so inexpensive! I bought the salicylic acid, mandelic acid, lactic acid, niacinimine + zinc, and the natural moisturizing factors. Also argan oil to try on my hair. I also tried a few of their light foundation colors, because, again, inexpensive.

I’ve only actually used the niacinimide and spot treating with the salicylic. I’m really trying hard to restrain myself and introduce one at a time. I also started cerave pm, oil cleansing, and back to my old cetaphil cleanser. I realized I haven’t been moisturizing well.
I’m also breastfeeding so can’t do a lot of the heavier active acids.

@Littlebit7: haha you did better than me. I just keep getting overwhelmed. I need an extra dummies guide. I don't even know what most of the stuff does

@Littlebit7: I love the SCA subreddit too, haha. There's also an AsianBeauty subreddit that is great. I want to try the Azelaic Acid and Alpha Arbutin from TO.

my routine is: missha bb cream as a primer, kat von d foundation, bare minerals brow powder + glossier boy brow, bobbi brown gel eyeliner in espresso, laura mercier eyeshadow, covergirl lash blast + chanel le volume mascara, bobbi brown shimmer brick for bronzer, nars blush in orgasm. I don't do the eyeliner/eyeshadow every day, but the entire routine takes less than 10 minutes even when I do.

YSL or Chanel foundation (I go back and forth between the two brands, can't decide which I like better)

Lancome mascara primer

Diorshow mascara

Nars orgasm blush

I get my eyebrows tinted so I don't need to fill them in anymore and only wear eyeshadow/liner for date nights, etc.

@autumnlove: This is sad, but most days (even for Work!) I just do black liquid liner and my standby mascara - the vibrating one from Lancôme.

@autumnlove: I found it at a Harmons store, which always has some offbeat products.

I really like it and will replace with another when I am done with this one.

@LadyDi: its good stuff. The reviews don't lie. I buy others and yet I always come back to the Nars Orgasm and Deep Throat (same color as orgasm but less shimmer)

@mamabear87 lucky you! If its hydration you are after, maybe the NMF or the rosehip oil. Those seem to be popular.

@snowjewelz: I have this and use it sometimes too! I started buying it before they came out with the “artists” and sort of became an MLM and I haven’t needed to repurchase since then. Do you have to buy it through an artist now? I kind of hate mlms but I like the contour and highlight.

@snowjewelz: I also use Masckara on the occasions that I wear make-up and I use a beauty blender to get the product on my skin. Then I use a different part of the blender to blend it in.

@starchild: I really like Bobbi Brown Corrector and Concealor (two products). You can get a good amount of under eye help from just one of them, but together it’s the best I’ve found! I ran out after DS was born and got some nicer drug store stuff and totally regret it. But I’m too frugal to throw it out and just get back on the BB wagon.

In general, my attempt at nicer drug store products was a total bust. I’m going back to my Bobbi Brown lineup as soon as I can:
BB corrector and concealed
BB powder compact foundation
BB bronzing powder
BB cream shadow and eyeliner
...and then I go random drug store find for mascara so I don’t feel bad replacing frequently
...and then a nice lip tint or gloss

-Peter Thomas Roth CC Cream
-YSL All Hours Concealer (after years of searching for the perfect concealer, this has become my holy grail that I will repurchase over and over)
-Ilia multipurpose stick for my cheeks in Tenderly
-Laura Mercier translucent powder (minimal)
- Bobbi Brown Golden Light or NARS Laguna bronzer
- after bronzer I apply super thin layer of aquaphor to my lips to prep for lipstick/balm
- Clinique naturally glossy mascara
- benefit Watts Up highlighter on cheekbones and inner corner of eyes IF I feel like it
- lips - I wipe/blot off the aquaphor so I’m just left with soft lips - I use a bunch of different lip colors but most common 3 are Clinique Tender Heart, Fresh Sugar lip treatment in Rose, or Vaseline Rosy lips

I swear this all takes 5 mins or less, I don’t even need a mirror. Have it down to a science
