So my baby is 4.5 months, and I know she's going through a lot developmentally right now and is supposed to be regressing with sleep. Shes also teething, etc. Typical stuff. We'd hoped to put off the crib transition until after the regression period to make it easier, but the girl outgrew her bassinet overnight last week. So off to the crib she went and she did well!
However, now that she has all this room, she's all over the place! She's turning 180 degrees and often ending up sideways in the crib and occasionally waking up from it (I don't know if she is hitting the side of the crib or what). And then she's also rolling 3/4 of the way onto her tummy and then back. That one concerns me less as she seems to sleep through it. But the constant dancing around seems to be waking her up, and it's definitely waking us as we hear it all night on the monitor. She sleeps in a sleep sack, which I assume is why she's only rolling 3/4.
I guess I'm just wondering what worked for you if your lo did this? Do I wait until she upsets herself and wakes up fully? Do I shift her preemptively to try to prevent the wakeup? And is this a phase? I'm hoping she'll get more used to all the extra room and it'll be easier? I'm not even sure exactly what is waking her (could be she's hitting the side of the crib and then once it wakes her she realized her teeth hurt or she's hungry)...or if we are going in too quickly and she would self-settle. I don't like leaving her to cry.
Anyone been through this?
