DS is 6 months and we are starting BLW. He doesn't swallow anything yet... Just gnaws on hunks of steamed sweet potato, peppers, carrots, etc. I send some stuff to daycare so he can be involved when the other kids are eating because he is really interested in food. The school has never had a kid that didn't do purees (they also checked with sister schools bc they are a brand) and nobody else has heard of BLW either. They asked for literature to have on hand in case corporate comes in and sees a 6 month old with a big piece of sweet potato. I appreciate their willingness to learn, but am amazed that we are the first to do BLW there. I feel a little weird about it actually, like I'm doing something crazy. Anyone else feel this way? Do you have anything that sums up BLW other than the book (which I'm also giving to them?)
