LO was invited to three birthday parties of daycare classmates. We aren't going to be able to attend any of them because we are going to be out of town.
Would you still get a gift for the children? How much would you spend?

If my child isn't going to the party, I don't give a gift unless it is a close friend's child.

I would still send a small gift. Maybe a couple of board books wrapped nicely? How old is the child turning?

Most of our day care parties are "no gifts" parties but if it is a gift party, we don't send one if we don't attend. The exception is for personal friends.

If we don't go to the party, there is no gift. The exception would be if we were friends outside of the daycare.
