I need some advice on how to handle this. My dad picks my 3 year old up from daycare at 530 everyday since both DH and I get off work at 6. Typically there are only a handful of toddlers left with a teachers aid after 430. Yesterday my dad went to the daycare, which he gets access by being buzzed in by a security guard in the main office, and he walked in to my daughter running out of the bathroom soaking wet! There was no teacher in site accompanying her to the bathroom or a teacher in the hallway. When he brought her back to her room to get her dressed, there was only another little boy in there by himself. No teacher or teacher aid! The boy's grandmother came in a minute later to pick up her grandson while my dad tried to dry my daughter off before taking her to their home a block a away in the freezing cold. I arrived at my parents home an hour later to this news and am so distraught!!! Here are the things running through my head:

Where are the teachers and why were two toddlers unsupervised with the room door open?
Why didn't dad go into the office to ask about the situation? (Dad was too frantic trying to dry his granddaughter off so she doesn't freeze and j totally understand)
What if some other person walked off with our daughter?!?! My dad did not see a single teacher or daycare personel the entire time he took to dry her off and get her dressed so that's 10 minutes. Plus probably another 5 minutes at least of my daughter playing in the bathroom by herself to end up soaked head to toe! The only dry item on her were her socks...

My husband is going in this morning to talk with the teachers and also the director to here their explanation. But in reality, is there even an explanation that would justify this situation? What should I do? I don't even know.
