It's 5:15 here and my 3 year old is up.
DH took him to try to put him back to bed. I have a 1-month old who is sleeping on me now. And I feel like our night was longer than usual with an extra feeding in there.
Looooong day ahead! Who else??

Why yes. My 10 month old normally wakes around 5:30, so of course is now up at 4:30, even with pushing her bedtime back last night.

We're up! I got mad that DH let DD get up at 5:30 until I remembered about daylight savings, definitely going to be a long day!

DS woke up at 5 but DH put him back down and he's still sleeping. :). DD is exhausted after last night and is still sleeping.
coconut / 8483 posts
Yep. Normal 630 or earlier wake up was 515 today. We even kept him up an hour later last night. Ugh.

We're up! DS woke up at 5:30 (4:30) and DH got him to sleep for another hour, but he's wide awake now. It's so dark out and DH is still asleep and I'm so jealous!
nectarine / 2521 posts
Yep. And he even "slept in" to what would usually be 630 am, but instead we are downstairs at 530 am. Loooong day ahead for sure.

Murphy's law at its best here. I woke at 5:19 and couldn't go back to sleep. DS (3 yo) who is always up before 7 is still asleep! And it's 7:25 on the old time. I wish I could have slept in more!
persimmon / 1447 posts
Yep. My 7 month old usually sleeps until 8 and woke at 6:30 (7:30 old time)
persimmon / 1114 posts
Of course! My 2 year old is always up by 6 each day so we were up right before 5. Doubly stinks because we kept him up late last night hoping to offset the early morning.

DD was up at 4:45 today and started early wake ups last week. But DH went in to her and got her to rest a little bit longer. DS was up at 6:20. I hope they can adjust quickly!

I was up at 5! I woke up around 4:30 and couldn't go back to sleep. I have to work at 8 anyway, so I got up, showered and will study for an hour before work.
J was up a few times during the night but at 6am, he's still sleeping.
nectarine / 2262 posts
Yep. Although with a 9 week old I guess it doesn't really matter! We were up at 5.

DD woke at the new 5:50 a.m. not bad at all! So in her mind it was 6:50, which is actually sleeping in a bit!
Thanks Halloween that tired her out!

My almost three year old just woke up. My yen month old has been up for 30 minutes. Not too bad.
nectarine / 2086 posts
Yes we were up at 6:30, but we kind of half slept through Our 11wk old's fussing for a while...
Is that terrible?
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
Yes. Up at 630. Which I guess is sleeping in for her. Sat morning I had to wake her at 8, which never happens, why couldn't she have done that today!
watermelon / 14467 posts
We've been up for about 40 minutes. Thankfully she is happy to play in our bed because mama feels like death.
nectarine / 2797 posts
LO slept until 6:45, new time, I'm happy with it! Usually she gets up between 7 and 7:30.

Yep, we have been up for 25 minutes with our 3 year old. He is content to cuddle in bed tho.
persimmon / 1458 posts
Surprisingly my youngest woke up at 5:50am today and we'll take it because he started waking up at 5am this week so I fully expected a 4am wake up today. He was up a little later last night but that usually doesn't matter.
wonderful cherry / 21504 posts
She woke up at 5:30 but played in her crib for a little before calling me and whining, which I guess technically isn't too bad. Managed to get her to lay down for another half hour or 45 minutes before getting up, so it could have been worse.
I just have to remember to adjust my own bedtimes to accommodate the early wake ups this week since Dh is away for work for the next week so it's all me.
nectarine / 2987 posts
Yep. DS was up at 5:15. And DD who normally does one or two night wakings had six before 3am (which is when I stopped counting). Oh, hi, 4 month regression, you horrible witch.

Dd was up at 6:30 (old 7:30)...we'll see when she makes it til for a nap...
I was up at 4am for no reason other than pregnancy insomnia - so I am in for a long one
kiwi / 641 posts
We went ahead and reset my 3 year old's "ok to wake" clock last night so her green light (when it's ok to wake) would come on at the new 6:50. She didn't quite make it but pretty close- 6:20 was in our room. Not too bad! I think being exhausted from last nights festivities and it being a rainy morning here helped!
honeydew / 7463 posts
I don't know what the heck happened but he slept until "normal" time today. He still got up at 6:30!
He does have the sniffles though and had a restless night (I had to rock him at 3am which we NEVER do) so I guess he was just really tired and not feeling well. Kinda works in our favor though
kiwi / 643 posts
My 2 year old woke up right at 6:00 - usually he's up around 7ish. But I was up with my 2 week old at 5:45, anyway.
honeydew / 7303 posts
I am not home, I had to leave at 5:30 for a flight. Dh says dd woke up at 6:45 and ds woke up at 6:00. Not too terrible!
GOLD / wonderful apricot / 22646 posts
Ds1 (almost 3yo) woke at 6am but I laid down w me and he fell asleep/laid in bed til 750. Ds2 ( 3.5 months) stirred around 610am but dh gave him his paci and he slept until 745. we all survived!
honeydew / 7230 posts
They got up at the new 5 am. We tried keeping the min bed with us, but they weren't having it at all. They've been sleeping terribly lately and last night was even worse. Turns out they have freaking hand foot and mouth! Their hands and feet are totally covered in spots out of nowhere. So I guess now we know!
hostess / papaya / 10219 posts
Nope! No one is awake but me at 7:30. But we had a party here last night and everyone was up late. DS woke at 530 and came in our bed and passed back out.
GOLD / wonderful pomegranate / 28905 posts
I don't remember because DH grabbed her so I could nurse her in bed. Then my 3.5 year climbed in bed. Neither would go back to sleep so DH took them downstairs.
But the baby is now napping at 8:30. Clearly, she is not happy with DST!

@regberadaisy: I'm trying to get my kids to take a nap too since we have pictures at 10. Not sure it will fly but they need some extra rest!
hostess / wonderful grape / 20803 posts
10m old up at 530 - not a surprise since he wakes at 630 like clockwork regardless of when we put him down. I kept him up for his nap until 915! He usually naps around 9 so this was laaaate for him. I suspect it will take a week to get him to sleep until 630 again.
3.5 year old up at 520 (old 620) which was a surprise since he normally sleeps until 7 AND went to bed at 9. But we were at granny's so he was probably just excited.
pomegranate / 3845 posts
DS was up at 7:50, which would've been 8:50, but stayed up til after 10, leaning towards skipping nap today to do bedtime around 7:30.
