I’m 8dpo today and I have been having weird pinches and twinges since yesterday. Anyone else get this?

@Jessiemuller88: I get it around ovulation sometimes, but not any other time in my cycle. Fingers crossed it's a good sign for you momma!

@Rswan18: As Sams Mom said, pre af spotting is the norm for me, I know I'm out when it begins, but if you normally don't get it, maybe it's a good sign for you! Fingers crossed!
I'm 12dpo today, temp dropped and I'm spotting. I'm waiting for af to start now. I only hope it starts during the weekend so I can avoid being at work in case it's as bad as it was last cycle. And if I start soon, I get to POAS (which I actually never do, go figure...) once more in December.

Good morning.
Tempdrop took away yesterday's high temp (98.98° F) and replaced it with 98.60° which matched the day before. Today's temp was 98.48°. Guess my temps aren't rising? 🤷♀️ IDK. This cycle is all sorts of confusing. 🤦♀️
Oh well, c'est la vie.

@yellowbeach: Yeah, you are telling me ... so frustrating. If I don't conceive THIS cycle, (assuming I OV on CD 10 or 11 AGAIN next cycle) I will have a 2nd POAS date of 12/31. Of course, I don't know what the RE is going to have me do - perhaps a trigger cycle? I'm not certain about that since I OV so early and can't do/won't do Clomid again. IDK how that would work. Argh!
@Lazb: I can see SOMETHING!!! From the photograph, I can't tell if it has color or not, BUT, there is most definitely SOMETHING there! SKWEEE!!!!!
clementine / 811 posts
@LAZB: It's definitely there, but I'm not sure what "it" is as there has been so many false positives lately. I'm hoping it's the real deal though!

@Kaohinani: @paranundrum: ugh, I feel the same way. Why can’t it be clear?!
nectarine / 2648 posts
@LAZB: ditto @kaohinani and @paranundrum - definitely see something but can’t tell if there’s color. We all know how I feel about FRER so that’s all I’ll say about that. Fingers crossed 🤞 for you though.

Babbling - In the mind of a TTC nutcase 🤪:
I had a convo with the hubby. I told him that I believe I'm becoming more and more laid back with each cycle because I'm coming to terms that I just don't think "it" is going to happen for us. I'm seriously frustrated and still hopeful but, I think, in my personal grieving process, I have just come around to accepting that it may not happen and, while it sucks so much, there will be a limit and cut off. The RE visit is coming quick and I am excited for that but, we have been through it before. I'm not certain he will afford us anything better than the last did. I have, kinda, just resigned myself to being grateful for the 2 beautiful children I have as we keep [mechanically] trying for #3. The last 2 cycles have had limited emotion affixed to them. I find myself extremely hopeful but not invested. It is an odd emotion to try to describe. This cycle is not helping as everything that could sabotage a BFP has thus far (🤦♀️). Perhaps, acceptance is healthy. 🤷♀️

@Kaohinani: I totally understand that. I kind of feel the same. Ttc is so taxing, and part of me just wants to be done

@Kaohinani: you have my admiration. Lots of ladies who ttc for any length of time do. We tried for 8 months after my first loss and as a relatively even keeled person - the ups and downs of the ttw were so hard. Then after my second loss - honestly I couldn’t go down that road again. So at my wishes - we stopped actively trying and moved on to the idea of life without kids.
I just say that to say that the road is different for everyone and you’re on your road. No idea what where it will lead you but however you handle it is the right way. At least in my humble opinion. You’re in my prayers.

@LAZB: I agree with the other ladies. I see something but not sure what it is!
@Kaohinani: thinking of you as you work through this all. It’s so hard.

How long do you all get positive OPKs? I got another one this morning and I can’t figure out when I’ll ovulate.

@MrsJBeeG: @Lazb: @Creativemomma15:
Thank you so much for empathizing and sympathizing, ladies. I just needed to babble OUTSIDE of my head. TTC took an emotional toll for so long and, at current, I'm nearly devoid of feeling this cycle-- numb, I suppose. Oddly, I'm okay with it which is probably why I was able to POAS a few days ago and why I've been able to make fun of my own infertility (coping, perhaps?). Anyway, MrsJBeeG, thank you for the sage words and prayers... they are always welcomed.

@creativemomma15: 🤔 You know how Dory sings, "Just keep swimming, Just keep swimming..." in Finding Nemo? Change the word "swimming" to "BD-ING," and you should be all set. 🤣
🤣
In all seriousness though, it depends on the woman, the cycle, and the length of the surge. Most cycles, I get ONE definitely POSITIVE OPK; however, I have had 2 cycles where my LH surge lasted longer. One of them: I had a positive OPK at noon, at 6 PM, and then noon again the next day before it trailed off a bit that night. I have seen some ladies on here post positive OPKs 3 and 4 days in a row. It is the body gearing up to OV. Best bet, get in as much BD-ING as you can.

@LAZB: Those pictures are clearer; however, I can't quite see if any color manifested. 🤷♀️ Ugh, the sticks are keeping you in limbo!!! 🤦♀️Stupid HPTs!

Where is @Sams Mom and her filters?
Sam's Mom, you are needed for your filter abilities, as well as, because we miss you in the morning.
grapefruit / 4492 posts
@Kaohinani: I didn't have my shit together this morning. Thank God it is friday!
So I will do filters on my phone in just a second, I was analyzing them on my desktop. I see something on everything, but FRERs have me gunshy, but the OSOMs seem to have great reviews.
As to the more laid back each cycle, I am definitely feeling that too. I don't know if it's because mamabear sent me her ava and I have less mental stress because of it, or if it is because I raised my Zoloft dose from 50 to 100. But something just has me not as high strung as I previously was. I don't know.
I keep telling my husband if we don't get pregnant, I am going to steal one of those "Safe Place" signs from the firehouse down the street and hang it on my house hoping someone will drop their baby off. He says it doesn't work that way... but I don't see why not
@creativemomma15: Some women go by the philosophy to stop testing once you get a positive. So I would base that off of yesterdays, but if you feel it is definitely positive today whereas you questioned yesterday's, I would go with today's.
grapefruit / 4492 posts
@LAZB: the FRER is visible, but even with messing with the color balance and everything I can't tell if it has any of the pink to it.
grapefruit / 4144 posts
@Yellowbeach: I was wondering, perhaps, if you would be able to help me out whenever you actually have a free second (which I KNOW is super rare)? There is a four page article on a study of short follicular phases (which I happen to have) which I cannot access using my university research portal, the school library, or any of my other scholarly resources. I am VERY interested in reading the findings. (* Studies and stats are my guilty pleasure. 🤓) I was advised to ask a physician who may have access to research resources (this is where I thought of you ... I hope you are not offended. ). The information is affixed. If you can't or won't, I absolutely understand and I won't be upset. I just figured that it would not hurt to ask. Thank you.

@Sams Mom: 10 dpo. I know 15 minutes is past the time frame, but surely not long enough for an evap?
grapefruit / 4492 posts
@LAZB: I would think so too. Do you know your average dpo for a BFP? I know every pregnancy is different, just curious? It's something I wish I knew for myself, but I wasn't tracking or trying at the moment.
pear / 1610 posts
@Kaohinani: @LAZB: @Sams Mom: Thanks for the advice! I guess I'm a bit afraid of 4 days of positives because I'm not sure how may days in a row we can get in! I guess I'll keep testing, see what happens and hope for the best! I was kind of hoping they'd start to fade today so I could know I was ovulating now!
pomegranate / 3904 posts
@Sams Mom: I got a Bfp at 10, 12, and 9 dpo when I didn’t trigger. The 12 could have been earlier though, I tested at 9 and it was bfn. Then I tested at 12 because I was out of town the other days without tests
grapefruit / 4492 posts
@LAZB: hmmmmm. well I've got all the things crossed for the next couple days!
grapefruit / 4144 posts
@Sams Mom: 🧐 Going to get NERDY🤓 up in here : Statistically, the average is 12.5 dpo. Of course, this does not take into account when implantation occurred ( which is at 6-12 dpo but HAS been seen to occur as early as 5 dpo or as late as 13 dpo in clinical cases), the HCG-doubling rate for which HCG would measure in urine, what level MIU tests are being used, AND whether or not testing was done prior to the test that provided the positive result.
I know, a citadel of useless knowledge.
🤣
grapefruit / 4492 posts
@Kaohinani: not useless at all! I have another 6 days to go if I am smart and wait until 12dpo
But we know me, I will start at 10 ish dpo.
grapefruit / 4144 posts
@creativemomma15: They say BD-ING every other day is just as effective 🤔 ... Maybe that will take the mental pressure off, as well as, take some strain off of the lady bits.
Anyway, I hope your pos OPK turns neg soon as well.
