@Kaohinani: that is actually super reasonable imo! For the same at my clinic it would be about $1500. Heck, just for my monitored cycle with meds it’s about $1k

@LAZB: I know. They are far more reasonable than many RE Clinics. Luckily, they are local. The next closest one is an hour and 40 minutes away! It does sound great and all but IDK if the rest of my scans, U/S, etc will be included or are OOP. I shall find out on the 5th. I do know that they offer low-rate loans for larger procedures. I do suppose that I'm just hoping it happens naturally to save on some costs considering the huge school loan payment we make every month.

@Kaohinani: oh definitely, not having to pay anything is ideal lol

@Sams Mom: I definitely think about this - A LOT! I always have the dreams in my head of how cute whatever I decide to do will be... to really surprise DH and catch him off guard... but our reality is that whenever we've gotten our s, the lines have been so faint that I've needed him for a second opinion to ensure I'm not seeing things. So then it darkens up over the next few days, and a beta confirms it... but it's all gradual... and not very Pinteresty. We seem to catch everyone else by surprise once we announce... but me breaking the news to him is anticlimactic.

@LAZB: I saw something l n the first osom at the bottom, but not the most recent. But your pee would be too diluted now, right?! Good luck tomorrow! I ordered some frers, but they aren’t coming until Saturday and I’m going for a beta sometime tomorrow which my doctor said he won’t have the results until Monday. Ugh.

@yellowbeach: I always think I’ll surprise mine too and then I either can’t keep it a secret or have to get him to look at the very faint lobe to confirm as well. He doesn’t mind anyway.

Since so many of us track BBT, I found a really interesting study (perhaps interesting is subjective here. 🤣) circa 1951. Perhaps it may be of appeal to someone else to read as well:

    🤞 F'x the link affixes . . . It is a link to a PDF.
    I know, I'm a HUGE NERD 🤓🧐.

@Rswan18: a similar thing happened to me this cycle. I have had a few positives since Tuesday. Not super dark. I went to my doctor today and he said I might be pregnant (also said it could be a faulty test(s)- I find that the most unlikely scenario, or that I could have miscarried) and is sending me for a beta test tomorrow and then I’m to go for repeats if it’s positive and not bother if it isn’t. He said to wait for him to call on Monday and if he doesn’t call then I should go for a second beta. I’m itching to go get my blood drawn tomorrow now, but it’s didappointing I will have to wait for so long. I had bleeding and brown discharge from 6-9 dpo and took a test on 10 because I thought something seemed odd that it wasn’t getting heavier. I was surprised to see a line show up.

@Kaohinani: thanks! I will, of course. With the good or the bad. I have been following along on this hot thread. The weird symptoms I had that also prompted me to test were the crazy dreams (so maybe that’s why you’re having wild ones)I have been having since Friday and my boobs were very very slightly sore. So I’m eager to see a couple of people test soon, yours is coming up. You aren’t out until you’re out!

@Petitduck: Thank you. It would be lovely if it were to be! 😁 Right now, I'm blaming everything on progesterone and taking Macrobid. 🤣 I think I will let my next test be at the REs if AF doesn't get me first.

    Hi again, ladies -

    Cycle Day: 14
    TTC Cycle: 2 or 3
    Ovulation Date: yesterday! (Nov 28)
    POAS Date: 12-7
    Baby #: 2

We're going to cur a Christmas tree this weekend, so thus begins the madness. I've been wrapping gifts as they get delivered (I did some damage online this year) to avoid that last minute insanity.

What are you asking for for Christmas (other than a ?) What are you getting your kiddos?

  12. Petitduck

    kiwi / 624 posts

@Kaohinani: lovely macrobid. Haha. I had to take that for a uti last year. Are your uti symptoms gone now?

Do they do a blood test there to start you off? I hope if you’re not knocked up, that this doc is the tits and you get going quickly on a good plan.

@Kaohinani: That doesn't sound so bad for a IUI cycle! Again I always hope that you don't have to even go to the RE, but alas, if you do I hope they figure it out fast!

@Petitduck: The tits! I am dying right now, that is some shit I would say. Love it.

    @Clementine12: Welcome back!

I am wrapping as they come too! I am getting my son a little 7' diameter Little Tikes trampoline, the Melissa & Doug easel and accessories, pajamas, coloring book and crayons... and now he's asking for a Blue Dinosaur. I have passed that request onto my little sister and her kid at heart boyfriend.

@Petitduck: Actually, I feel great with the exception for a feeling of fullness/bloat that I can't decipher whether or not if it is in my bladder or uterus. 🤔 After 2 c-sections, sensation is a bit off. Weird feeling though.

I hope, if this cycle isn't "the one," that this RE is the answer to DH's and my prayers as well. 🤞

@Sams Mom: Thank you, hun. I agree that between what insurance covers and what isn't covered, it is quite a deal, comparatively speaking...
Still keeping my hopes up for a natural conception, though even if it does not seem very likely.

@Clementine12: Hello, Clementine! Welcome back to the crazy that is the POAS board! 😉🤣 I'm glad to see you ... Good luck this cycle!

I'll let Sam's Mom update your data on the board since I keep hijacking her moderating position from her out of boredom. 😳😁

@Kaohinani: weird. I have had one c-section and sometimes feel my scar is kind of puffy feeling around the time of af. It’s weird.

You guys! It’s finally almost my month to start TTC. A cross country move delayed our TTC journey but we are officially trying next cycle. I had my last depo shot in November 2017 so I’m hoping it is out of my system.

@Sams Mom: SOOOOOO over GF pizza and pineapple. New Progesterone-driven craze to hit this cycle: cottage cheese (and pineapple... but never together for some reason. 😂)

I have been craving Chick-fil-A waffle fries dipped in Freddy's fry sauce 🤷‍♀️

    @youboots: Welcome!
@Sams Mom: have you tried cottage cheese and apple butter? Some of my family loves it! I still can’t bring myself to try it And now I’m hungry for CFA fries, but what is Freddy’s fry sauce?
@Kaohinani: cottage cheese and pineapple sounds interesting! I’ve never heard of that combo!

I’m so thrown off by my OPK... I haven’t gotten one this early in awhile! I feel like my afternoon one is more positive than my 5pm one. I’ll probably ovulate tomorrow??

  37. Sams Mom

    grapefruit / 4492 posts

@creativemomma15: I have not, but that sounds like it could be amazing! I love apple butter, I love cottage cheese.

Freddy's is a steak burger chain where I live, it's a lot like steak n shake which we also have. Their house fry sauce is amazing! It's like a mayonnaise based sauce but it's like a pinky orange color, and has a little bit of a kick to it. I also regularly crave zaxbys crinkle fries because the seasoning is amazing!

Random thought - but I just realized one of the benefits of this medicated FET is there’s no trigger shot required, and therefore nothing to trend out and less risk of a false positive. I’m liking this.

  39. Sams Mom

@yellowbeach: that's a big plus! I imagine not questioning a faint positive will be a relief.

@creativemomma15: welcome! That OPK looks positive to me! Time to get busy!

@Yellowbeach: that’s awesome you don’t have to worry about false positives when testing early. I hope this is your month!
