I have two:
1. A late night sandwich with a huge amount of peanut butter and some fresh strawberry preserves on top! All on some toasted sourdough bread.
or
2. A deli sandwich of ham, mayo, mustard, lettuce and toasted bread. It's not fancy, but it's a sandwich I ate a million times growing up. Memories...

I don't eat sandwiches (or subs) but I love this one:
olive tapenade, pesto, cucumbers, roasted red peppers, sun-dried tomatoes, and feta on ciabatta bread. Yum!!

Most importantly, it must have avocado. My favorite is from a place called Thundercloud in Austin - amazingly soft bread with avocado, alfalfa sprouts, mushrooms, lettuce, olives, tomatoes and onions with "thundersauce" (oil and vinegar) and salt/pepper. Too bad it's thousands of miles away. I've never been able to recreate it even close!

B) Mult-grain bread, roasted turkey, romaine, tomato, mayo.
I ate some variation of A pretty much every day of my pregnancy, and B was the first real thing I ate after I gave birth (and it was the most amazing sandwich ever).

I haven't had a sandwich on non-gluten free bread in almost 6 years. I would go nuts for anything on crusty french bread!

There's this little coffee shop in my hometown that makes an awesome portabella panini. They use giant portabella mushrooms and pesto mayo and I want to say mozzerella. It is ahhhh-maxing!

1: BLT- made with in-season heirloom tomatoes, romaine and smoked pork belly bacon.
2: Green apple, carrot, cucumber, alfalfa and cheddar cheese with honey mustand on multigrain. I slice everything with the mandolin.

I love the classic turkey, provolone, mayo, honey mustard, lettuce and tomato on country bread.
But grilled sandwiches are pretty delicious.

I get one at the deli counter at our local health food store, and it's delish! Oven roasted turkey, "fakin bakin" (marinated tempeh), smoked gouda, sprouts, red onions, and a sun-dried tomato chutney on dutch crunch.

We have a local sandwich shop that has the best sandwiches ever. I get the "North Shore" which is turkey, cucumber, tomato, lettuce, Swiss, bacon, and herb mayo on this amazing salty pretzel bread. It's only open in the summer and the first one of the season is seriously amazing! I might need to go get one tomorrow!

Favorite is the original banh mi sandwich:
-crusty mini baguette or loaf
-ham
-steamed pork (w fish sauce)
-minced BBQ pork
-pork liver pâté
-fresh jalepeno slices
-cucumber slices
-pickled carrots and daikon radish
-cilantro and sirracha sauce.
YUM!
Also love peanut butter with banana slices on thick Asian milk bread, toasted.
