Okay, I need a reality check. I'm having trouble wrapping my mind around the fact that I will eventually get so large and uncomfortable, that I will actually be excited to deliver a giant baby through my vagina.
Did everyone else who gave birth totally hate being pregnant at the end? Or is that not everyone's experience?

Lol, yes, you'll probably actually start looking forward to labor by the time you get to the end. 
With both of my pregnancies, I was so tired/uncomfortable/in pain/etc... I was praying for labor at the end!

I enjoyed my pregnancy. At the end, I was excited and anxious...But I didn't hate it.

I feel like a heifer right now which makes me pretty sad to think I still have 6 +/- weeks to go in this pregnancy. While I don't really hate it, I'm kind of at the "over it" stage. I'm ready for my little girl to be here already so I can douse her with kisses and love.

This was definitely not my experience. When I went into labor at 38 weeks, I was like, "NO! I have things to doooo! Stay!" But, obviously, he did not stay.
I think the combination of the fact that I lived in a 5th floor walkup intil I was 8 months pregnant (stayed quite active!) and the fact that he came before I expected had me not too uncomfortable/eager.

Seriously uncomfortable, getting no sleep, getting all the Pre-labor signs are making me really anxious to meet her.
Overall I've really really enjoyed pregnancy. It's been such a amazing experience and I'm sure that overall I had a fairly easy pregnancy plays into it.
But definitely ready for her to come out and meet us! Especially now that I'm off work I don't want to waste any more days just sitting here!!

Both my husband and I are wanting this baby to come out now! I am 39 weeks and 2 days. Hubs decided to come home from work early to work on baby stuff. That is how excited/mentally ready he is for LO's arrival! I am very uncomfortable, but trying to take advantage of the rest I can get right now.

I went past my due date by 5 days and waiting for labor was sooo hard! I think towards the end everyone just wants the baby to come already

I'm in week 38, and SO READY for labor to start! I'm not even that uncomfortable, just bored because the husband and I prepped everything way in advance and now we're just sitting around, waiting. I can't wait to meet my LO knowing that she's technically ready to come out!

I've thought the exact same thing, but since this is baby number one and I (hopefully) am nowhere near labor (19-20w now) I guess I'll have to wait and find out!

In the earlier stages of pregnancy, I couldn't fathom looking forward to labour and delivery. However, now that I am 32 weeks, I am definitely looking forward to it - not so much because I'm uncomfortable, but because I can feel the LO kicking and moving so much and it's all so very real now. I'm just beyond excited to meet our baby and can't wait for the day to arrive.
Like a few others above, I've had a very easy pregnancy so I definitely don't hate it. I don't particularly love feeling bigger and I miss my old body, but feeling these little kicks definitely makes it all worthwhile. I think there is definitely a protective mindset that evolves in our brains as we go through pregnancy and makes us look forward to labour as it starts to get closer!

I haven't let myself go there yet (35.5wks) since I've been on bedrest for preterm labor since 30.5 wks. My mentality has been I'm not ready please stay put! I can imagine getting to that poInt around 38 or 39 wks though! Labor scares the crap out of me but the excitement over meeting the baby will eventually overpower that feeling ; )

@highwire: Welp I am 37 weeks and a couple days and I desperately want my labor to start.
I just really want my body back... I am sick of feeling huge and not being able to be as active as I used to be.
I have only gained 23 lbs, so I guess I am lucky in that department, but I still feel like a horse and have trouble moving. I am doing whatever I can to get labor kick started!

While being super huge is obviously very uncomfortable and not fun, that is not the reason that I wanted to get LO out. I was just so anxious because of the unknown. I figured once I went into labor, I would know, and I wouldn't have to think about the when and how and where, etc.

I have weird ups and downs. I am 37 + 5 and so ready to be done to meet the baby but not so uncomfortable i cant stand it. Im morbidly curious about labor though....

I was due on Monday and am still waiting. For me, I have had a really easy pregnancy, and still feel pretty good. I have a lot of pelvic pain that makes sleeping uncomfortable, but I can still go and have a full day and only be a little tired at the end. Today, I ran around with my parents all day and felt fine during.
The biggest thing for me now is that she "should' have been here by now. I'm getting very anxious just waiting for labor to FINALLY start!

LOL @highwire I was searching for "how did labor start" because I am curious how many people started in the middle of the night and ran across this - thought I'd bump it up for you... since I thought similarly but I'm definitely sick of being pregnant enough to be excited for labor (and meeting baby!)
