I think if you & DH feel that is the best decision then go for it! Obviously you're not a BFing newbie and have been through this. So trust your instinct!

@Lindsay05: You have to do whats best for you (mentally and physically) and baby. A happy mommy is a better mommy, so you really do know best. Don't feel guilty, you are a fabulous mommy to your LO's!

@swedishfish: Agreed, I am at 6 months of breastfeeding and things are good now but at the beginning it really sucked, I will not do that to myself again, I was miserable and it really kept me from bonding with my lo.

Girl you do what is best for you!! I started weaning BF at 6 months. I never loved BF and I felt so much better when I weaned. R is a thriving little toddler and meeting every milestone.

@Lindsay05: any chance your LO has food intolerance? Fussing at the breast can be a sign of that.

@Lindsay05: Do whatever you need to do, mama. I felt so guilty about switching to formula, but I was able to bond so much better with M once I took stress about BFing out of the equation. I know it's not an easy decision though. Sorry you're having a hard time

Hugs! I ended up not BFing either DDs, and only pumped for about 6wks. I remember dreading the convo w/DH when I hit that point with DD1, bc it's one thing to think it, it's another thing to say out loud, "I don't want to breastfeed anymore".

DDs are doing great and if we end up having LO3, I will go straight to formula. Formula is awesome!

*hugs* Mama. Whatever you do will be the right thing for you and your baby. I ended up weaning earlier than I planned, but in hindsight, probably should have stopped much earlier than I did. Like others have said, breast is not always best. A happy, unstressed mom is best.
