What kind of diaper bag do you use with cloth diapers? I received my skip hop duo before I decided to CD and it is way too small!

I have a JuJuBe diaper bag. If I am just out and about then the BFF is plenty big but for all day or daycare stuff I use the Be Prepared.

I have the skip hop duo too and it is too small. I have to overstuff it to fit 2 cloth dipes, a change of clothes, bottle and formula. For daycare we use a timbuk2 messenger bag. It easily holds 2 changes of clothes and a whole days worth of cloth dipes, plus food, toys, blanket, coat and hat. I never got around to replacing the skip hop bag for other outings, but I'll definitely be getting something bigger before # 2. Probably a timbuk2 tote.

I have the skip hop duo too, and I agree that it's too small for CD-ing. I haven't gotten anything else yet - I'm still walking around with an overstuffed duo.

I have an OiOi bag and LOVE it! It is the messenger bag style and is plenty big enough. Even when DS was a newborn I was able to fit all the essentials, extra outfit, toys, my nursing cover and 7-10 diaper, plus wet bag. Now I have a ton of extra room since we don't use as many diaper while out and will be using my PPB clutch for short trips.

I have a 31 bag, the organizing utility tote. It's pretty huge and fits everything... and I bring EVERYTHING the baby owns with me.

I have the Vera Bradley diaper bag. I think it's going to be fine for cloth diapering, although I guess it depends on how many diapers I want to stuff in there. I tend to overpack in general...

I have a couple of Petunia Pickle Bottom bags and I think the Boxy Backpack (I wear it as a shoulder bag) is plenty big for everything you need. They also have an Abundance Boxy which is even bigger! They're pricey but sooooo awesome. If you can catch an outlet sale or on Rue La La or Gilt, you can get a bargain on one.

@tina: I will definitely check out the Abundance Boxy! Thanks. I found the link to your blog post about bags...are you still using the same one?

@autumnlove: Since RJ is older now and all he really needs is a diaper, some wipes, and a water sippy cup, I just use my own bag and Rob Sr. uses our Skip Hop when he's flying solo with him. But when he was an infant I used the Boxy the most. When he got a little older I switched to a Touring Tote, but that was a really tight fit (they're really small).

Definitely a Lassig Bag. Their green label is phenomenal and has an antibacterial wet pocket zip pouch. Plus all of their diaper bags look like amazing purses or messenger bags. http://www.lassigusa.com I personally use the Green Label Messenger Bag but, that's because I work at a law firm so my bag serves double duty.

@mrs. wagon: I gave up on cloth diapers when we leave the house for errands! Do you think the Boxy will be good for 2 LOs....newborn and 16 months?
blogger / watermelon / 14218 posts
@autumnlove: I actually stopped using my boxy for the toddler plus infant combo because it just got too small. I'd fill the pockets with things and then there was no space in the middle to throw anything. I ended up getting just a zip-top boat and tote from ll bean and I use a skip hop changing station for diapers, and everything else just goes into smaller bags that I throw around inside the bag. Not ideal, but with so many little moving parts it's impossible to use an actual diaper bag! I just wanted something big and open so I could dig through freely.

@mrs. wagon: I can't wait til the bag lady days are over! When is that....age 4?

@AutumnLove they totally are and I was in shock about how many diaper bags contain harmful substances that we don't know about. Popular brands too! All of the Lassig Bags are completely free from harmful substances like PVC, Nickel, AZO and Phthalates. The thing I like most. They can hold everything and they don't look like a diaper bag. I sacrificed a lot having children, not having to sacrifice one's personal style is nice.
