I currently have a 3 yr old and a baby due in June. I need a new diaper bag because I stopped carrying one over a year ago. I really wanted a backpack style because I'm very petite and find most bags too large for me to carry. I am leaning toward a Ju Ju Be BFF but I didn't know how large it is. It seems a little smaller than the Petunia Pickle Bottom which was huge on me. Does anyone have any other suggestions for a backpack style diaper bag for someone who is small framed? Thanks!

I am not small framed, but can say the jujube BFF holds a ton in a fairly compact size bag. It's way smaller than a ppb and I totally love (and recommend) it!

I like the jujube right back. It's perfect for our 2.5 years old. I'll add what we need when his brother arrives in June.

I actually got an Osprey hiking pack (Sirrus 36) and am loving it as a "diaper bag." I struggled to fit all of our things into a bag and stay comfortable, because we often do all-day outings and pack a lunch, and sometimes need to be able to store a jacket and outerwear for at least part of the day. It fits an insane amout of stuff, and is really comfortable. There are hiking packs in such a variety of sizes, I find the pricing comparable to a decent diaper bag, and they are designed to fit ergonomically and be worn for long periods, so even if you have to lug it around packed to the brim for a longer outing you should be able to do it in relative comfort. I was thinking about writing a blog post about it. I am really liking the Osprey brand-- a good friend had one of their backpacks and two hydration packs for her sons, and I looked into them when I was searching for something new for myself because she had had hers for such a long time and it seemed really sturdy. It seems like they have a very good quality guarantee and stand behind their products, too. Hope you find something you love!
I have used a Ju-Ju Be BFF (I have had the Spicy, the Behave (still have), the Be Right Back 2.0, the Hobobe, and the Be Prepared). I would say it's mid-sized, but I didn't find that it held enough to meet our needs. I am packing cloth diapers and wet-bags for an almost-3-year-old, a wrap or carrier, a lunch, a camera, a first-aid/toiletries bag, a wallet, usually some busy stuff (a couple of toys, crayons, paper, stickers, a few kids' magazines/books, etc.), a water bottle, and usually some extra clothes.

I really love my BFF. I think its the perfect size. To be honest though, I wanted it for the backpack option as well but ended up taking those straps off (they were heavy). I really like the small top handle on it (we use that to carry it way more than I thought we would). Quality wise - I have used it for 6 months, washed it once, and it still looks brand new.

Love my BFF... I'm not small framed tho. But I really don't think it's that big at all but can still hold a lot of stuff. Having the backpack option with 2 kids has been great.
@ash427: Yes, that top handle has been surprisingly useful!! Just shows how well thought out ju ju be bags are.
