We went to the zoo today and I realized how unprepared I was with my 1 year old! I didn't have sunscreen, hat, insect repellent, stroller fan....it was a miracle I remembered shoes and the list goes on. So, now that we will be doing more outside activities I figured I should get my stuff together! Suggestions? Also looking for recs on sunscreen and insect repellent.

Oddly, a sweater or hoodie... We would always think we were going to go home after the grocery store, and end up at a BBQ or sitting around a fire.
I usually pack up a box of extra seasonal stuff that lives in the car. This summer, we have bubbles, extra junk for digging in dirt and playing in water, extra hat, towel, hoodie, extra clothes, sunscreen, wet bag, and carrier.

Spray bottle of water for misting and staying cool.

Small thing of sunscreen, sun hat, light cardigan for when the AC is too cold. I would have extras of we're out all day.

Sunscreen (we use Think Baby!), hat, sippy cup w/ water, snacks, extra outfit, and a hoodie.

Sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, snacks, extra clothes, swimsuit, band-aids (and other med supplies). That's all I can think of so far - interested to hear other suggestions!!
@JennyD: Love that idea!! I'll definitely need a bag of random fun stuff to keep in the car for wherever we randomly end up. Probably need to keep her little folding chair in the car too.
