I just finished making a little diaper cake to be a gift/centerpiece at a shower I'm hosting next month, and I can't decide if it needs something on top or not. And if I *do* add something else, I'm not really sure what it should be. Any ideas?

You could add something, but I don't think it's a must! I like the way it looks now...kind of simple and chic

Cute! Maybe add a paci and rattle? The diaper cake at my shower had pacis, and small toys in various spots around the tiers and on top.

I'll have to look around and see if I can find something cute that matches without being too expensive (since this is in addition to other gifts not to mention the shower itself!).
If not, I think it will be ok plain, too. I just didn't even know what to consider as a topper!

Very cute! You could even pick up a little stuffed animal at the dollar store just for extra decoration.

@sorrycharlie: I think you could probably use any size, but I used size 1 Pampers Swaddlers because she registered for them
Larger sizes would probably make for taller layers?It was a lot easier to make than I thought it would be... I just googled "how to make a diaper cake" and found lots of instructional blog posts and videos.

I clipped a bunch of baby toiletries and socks and toys to mine. Let me see if I have a pic.

how about a toy or something decorative like fake flowers, thats what my friend did with mine
