Recommend a diaper pail for me please. We don't have one and I'm considering using some gift cards for one. Which is best?

We were gifted the diaper genie and I love it because it holds a lot and contains smells.

We have the Ubbi. It's working great so far and is modern looking

Ubbi! It's metal (so the smell cant seep in), it doesn't require special bags, it holds a lot of diapers, and there is NO smell!

we were gifted the munchkin arm and hammer diaper pail and love it! you do have to buy special bags, but it definitely contains the smell better than a regular garbage can.

We have the Dekor and we like it. Contains the smell and the refills last a long time.

We were gifted the Diaper Champ (Target has it). My friends with kids recommended it more than diaper genie because it can use any 13 gal trash bag. I haven't used it yet but hopefully it'll be good!

we got the diaper genie as a gift, never used it. DD is 7 months now LOL. we just throw it in the trash and take out the garbage every day.

I am really curious about this Ubbi! I throw diapers away pretty regularly, but honestly, the thought of a huge bin of diapers where my baby sleeps is so gross!
Anything plastic smells!

@looch: It's not a *huge* bin . . . but it's big enough that you don't have to empty it every day. I also love the fact that it's metal! And, FWIW, now that LO is making more solid/formed poops, I flush that away before I fold up the diaper and toss it in the bin.

I second what @yerpie110 said. I dont mind buying the bags for the Munchkin because the bags are pretty handy for taking the dipaers out, containing the smell. Its just so easy and practical. I love it.

@MsLipGloss: I am so glad to read you put poop in the toilet! Not many people realize that you're supposed to do this, even with disposables!

We have the Safety 1st Easy Saver. It doesn't require special bags, so you can use it for cloth or disposables (we use ours for cloth), it is under $30, and has a space in the lid to hold a deodorizer (I use munchkin arm & hammer nursery fresheners).

@looch: I didn't know about it prior to HB - so, I'm lucky that I knew to do that when the time came! Now, it just makes sense!

Diaper genie deluxe or whatever on has the pedal. Been using it for over a year and it works fantastic! It's managing input from a toddler and an infant surprisingly well!

Another vote for Ubbi! I love that it's metal. Never smells and the bags for cloth diapers are handy.

We have the munchkin and really like it. I bought bags on Amazon (30 bags at a time) so the cost was reasonable. Our pail is right next to our rocking chair, so we'd know if the smell wasn't contained.
