I really considered this but just haven't really gotten on board. P had terrible tummy issues until after 6 months so I honestly don't think I could've kept up! Hopefully with our next I can start this right away!

It's definitely not for me. I can certainly see the appeal but I can't say I'd try it!

Well... it's not something I would do, but then again, I highly doubt my day care would be pleased with this idea It just seems like one of those things that only some parents even have the option of doing, so I have no business judging.

I don't think there's anything lunatic about it, but I'm not sure it's for us (especially the part about letting them go outside). I'm going to start using th concept, ethough, sort of--E has taken to pooping in the tub (5x in the past two weeks). He never really given any "I'm going" signs, but I've noticed in the tub he'll sit very still and look down, grunt a little bit, and crawl away, and then there's poop. I never manage to catch him in time to pull him out, but I'm hoping I can start to get him over the toilet.

@HabesBabe: I would tend to agree. It's illegal to go outside as an adult, so...

I don't care if people do it, I just know it's definitely not for us.

@HabesBabe: Personally, we practiced EC with both of our kids and the only times we've not used the toilet/potty are in the rare occasion we're out somewhere a toilet is not available (e.g. camping, hiking, driving rural stretches of road, etc...). I'm sure some parents do allow their kids to go anywhere, but I think it's the exception for EC parents, not the rule.

I would love to try EC but LO almost always goes while eating... so I'm not sure how that would work since I EBF!

I was so shocked when I went to China and all the babies have split pants and just go wherever. Someone came over and mopped up baby pee at the airport by us when we left, ha.
