With #1 it was 4 weeks PP I think? I had minor minor tearing and just a couple of stitches.
I'm almost 3 weeks PP now and I've been ready for the past week! I'm still having some spotting though and we decided to wait until it stops. Booooo.

We dtd at five weeks pp. Would have earlier but I was worried about infection.

we dtd right before my pp check. i had an episiotomy and didn't want to risk the healing process before then-- i did feel fine/ready before then (i had minimal bleeding)

Just wanted to pop in and say I think you pre-6 weeks pp people are INSANE! Although I know DH wishes we were in that camp...

I was still bleeding/spotting until like, 8 weeks.... so heck no. 17 days?! I don't think I was able to sit properly at that point. More power to you.

My midwive's rule was no sex while still bleeding. Mine stopped fairly early, so we gave it a try. It wasn't totally comfortable until 6 weeks or more, though.

I wasn't cleared at 6 wks and still had a healing episiotomy/tear at 8 wks...we didn't until 13 wks, but I remember a bee here doing it at like 2 wks with no issue.

HELL NO! Hahaha! Tried at maybe 9-10 weeks pp, tried a few more times, weren't successful until 6 months pp.

Ha! No, it was more like 11 weeks. I had tons of stitches though.

DH was asking for it right at 6 weeks, but I still had stitches that hadn't dissolved. I was so busted up and bruised, I couldn't imagine prior to six!

I thought about it at 8 weeks but just didn't feel ready. Tried at 12 weeks and it was an utter failure. Tried again at 16 weeks and though it wasn't a complete failure it was not enjoyable for me. It didn't stop hurting until a month after I weaned, didn't matter what kind of lube we used.

I'm impressed with many of you! It took us a long, long time to get back into the swing of things.

We were about 5 weeks out and DYING to DTD. I had a c-section though so we probably could have done it sooner. It was great. That was back when I had a sex drive. lol

We did sometime between 3 and 4 weeks, even though I had an episiotomy. It was a fail, but it didn't hurt or anything, we were both raring to go.

I had two stitches and my bleeding stopped by 2.5 weeks and we DTD then. With the help of some lube it was all good!

HELL NO!
My stitches did not dissolve until 7 or 8 weeks and they were always poking me...plus I had pretty heavy bleeding until 8 or 9 weeks pp. I remember my OB talking about BC at the 6 wk appointment and I about laughed in his face. Um, did you not just see the train wreck down there?! I can't remember when we first tried? 3 or 4 mo pp? I remember it hurt a lot and we had to take it slooooow at first... It got better though.

@lilteacherbee: I feel like it might be ok now for me too if it wasn't for the PP bleeding still going on (it's pretty light but still)-- but I'm still SO TIRED! I also have to figure out the birth control situation... my sister in law's grandma was pregnant at her 6 week PP check-up (yeah, a long time ago...) and stories like that scare me!

I think we are ready, but I'm still bleeding at almost 4 weeks pp, so I wanted to wait for that to stop.

Uhhh, nope. I think we waited till somewhere around 12 weeks. I was terrified but it was all good
