we didn't tell anyone "IRL" because I really didn't want judgment. people thought we were too young (though married and with and months from my graduate degree!).
with my second, I didn't tell either, because whenever I casually mentioned another all I ever heard was "oh you have years. just enjoy DD1, there's no rush!" so I just kept it to myself!

With our daughter my husband told him mom and his boss. I wasn't amused, I wanted to keep it to just us, i didn't know how long it would take.
We've been debating when to start trying for the last two years for this time around, and it wasn't until a coworker he respects asked him about more kids and pointed out the SAME things I've been saying about their age differences, etc, that he finally agreed. So.... that guy knows, and so does our family doctor who is also our OBGYN. I'm telling anyone else beyond you girls until I"m at least 6 weeks along.

We only tried for LO#2 and I did mention it to people IRL because it took longer than expected, 6 months.

W ds1 our parents, brother, and bffs knew we were ready for kids, but no pressure from anyone and we got pregnant fairly quickly so we shocked them more than anything w bfp news.
W ds2 just one of my friends who was also trying for #2. And a few of my mom friends!

Only my closest friend in town. I probably would have kept a secret, but I was asked to be in a wedding 6 months from when we decided to TTC (my friend was in the wedding too) so I asked her advice about whether or not to tell the bride and if I should order a bigger dress just in case.
I ended up finding out I was pregnant three days before the wedding and told the same friend I was pregnant at the wedding.

LO1, my sister knew, and then a few close friends and my other sisters knew our general time line- plus we had been married for two years at that point and had been open about wanting kids. So no surprises there.
LO2, I had mentioned to a few people how we were waiting until C was 2 before thinking about trying, but this one surprised us a few months early. The timing is still "normal" (almost 2.5 years apart) so never got any negative comments- and anyone I had mentioned waiting to has been kind enough not to mention it.

I think all of our family and close friend knew general timelines. When asked I answered how far apart in age I wanted my kids, so it's not hard to know when we'd have another. We've been very fortunate to get pregnant right away so everyone knew we'd probably announce soon. And everyone is excited for every baby!

I never changed a diaper before LO, and wasn't really a 'kid person'. I was the butt of all the jokes from my friends with kids. Even at my baby shower someone put a baby in my arms and made fun of me "not knowing what to do with the baby".
I didn't want to tell anyone when I found out I was pregnant and didn't announce until 20 weeks.

A few friends knew with my first, but that's because we spent 5 years doing fertility treatments. I don't think I'd ever tell anybody if we were TTC the regular way because to me it's basically saying "We're having sex a lot! On a schedule!"

I haven't told anyone. I would have told my mom, but I wouldn't want to tell anyone else - and I'd feel bad telling DH I didn't want his mom to know if I told my mom.
I basically just don't want everyone asking if I'm pregnant every time I see them.

Some people knew. I sometimes answered the nosey questions honestly. No one judged us on our decision and pretty much everyone kind of felt it was time already to have babies.

We didn't tell anyone we were TTC. @rachiecakes: DH is like that. I'm 7 weeks now and we still haven't told anyone but my best friend. He WILL get made fun of and I am not looking forward to it.

Not with my first. With my next two pregnancies, HB friends knew. With my third pregnancy I think everyone guessed we were trying.

@rachiecakes: Same here! I actually found I had to play this up more when I was TTC just so many family wouldn't suspect anything and since I wanted to surprise them when it happened.

A few of our friends did with DS since they kept asking when we were having kids. We ARE trying, just haven't been successful. Plus we had a loss.
With DD, only my BFF knew we were, but when that ended in a loss, more people starting asking when we were going to try for #2. So we told them what happened and they kind of knew/understood we'd try to get pregnant ASAP once we got clearance.

Our close friends and family knew, but only because we had a MC before E was born. So, even though we didn't necessarily talk TTC after that, people assumed. Everyone was excited but not surprised when we announced I was pregnant again.

Yes pretty much everyone knew we were trying. And I got asked like every week if I were knocked up yet. Ummm these things take time! There is a process to it. And it only took us 3 cycles so not long at all but everyone was ready for us to try I guess lol

At first only each of our closest friends, but now that we've been dealing with IF for close to 2 years and am taking time off work for appt and tests, a lot more people know. The only people who make the pregnancy comments are from the ones that don't know... funny how that happens.

Lo1 was a surprise so nope.
For lo2 my mum and bff knew - as well as online groups like the bee. Took us 15 months to get lo2 so I was glad to have the support.

My two best friends knew we were trying after my miscarriage. They don't know we were successful yet :). Also two other friends. One who I am super close with and told her already I'm pregnant. The other also had a miscarriage so we were just talking about trying and such. She doesn't know I'm pregnant. I hope she is soon so we can be together.
No one else knows. Although I'm sure a few ther people who know about the miscarriage assume we were trying again.

With #1 no. We were more just NTNP and ended up getting pregnant right away.
With #2 I told one friend. I'm 9 weeks and still only 4 people know. I don't like people up in my business
