I am currently overweight. I want to lose about 50-60 lbs before TTC so I am healthy and do not have as much of a risk during pregnancy. Did any other bees lose weight prior to TTC?

Nope, I gained weight! But I'm hoping to lose weight before TTC again. I have until October until we wanted to start again....

I lost about 35 pounds before my wedding. After my wedding I sadly gained back about 10 pounds, and then got pregnant. It was a lot of work to lose the weight, but definitely worth it. I felt my body held up so much better being in good physical shape during my pregnancy. Plus I think it also helped me bounce back post pregnancy.

@loveablebee: I am trying! I've lost about 5 lbs. Sigh. I think to myself if it's so hard now, it will be that much harder later! So that's why I'm trying so hard right now. I think it's a good idea, for a healthier pregnancy. However, I'm not delaying TTC for weight loss.

I gained about 5 lbs before I got pregnant. Yay for trying to slim down and be at a healthy weight before TTC!

I didn't do it for the purpose of TTC but I did lose about 10kg in the year or so leading up to our wedding twelve months ago. I put a wee bit of weight back on after we got married and as we started to TTC but I've managed to stay at a consistent weight for the last eight months.

I gained weight, ugh. I'm having issues with TTC, and I think they're because of the weight. So I think I'll have to work on losing some to actually get pregnant.

I lost 24 pounds before our formal wedding and TTC (over 2.5 years--yeah, very slowly).
And now I've gained 25 pounds being pregnant and I'm pretty freaked about the numbers on the scale. I must say, though, it is comforting to know that I CAN lose the weight.
