Maybe we are thinking too hard, or maybe we're too picky, but this baby still doesn't have a name. We don't even have a top 3.
I am scouring all of the naming websites for more ideas. I am starting to feel panicked.

I'm super picky about girls names. I was obsessed with finding the perfect name for DD - and I never felt like we reached it. I am happy with her name, but still wonder if there was a better choice out there.

@Rainbow Sprinkles: I'm so surprised! It seemed like you had so many awesome ones to choose from? Do you have a top 10? Or one that you love but just aren't sure about?
If I had a girl: I garuentee you we'd go into the hospital without a name.

@Rainbow Sprinkles: I think we were mostly to a top three or four but I was still unsure and scouring naming sites, and then dh named her and now we are shortening the name (sometime in the coming year) to the nn which she goes by (which is a standalone name.) Maybe you just need to see baby first!

Nope. We had the boy name narrowed down to about 3, and a middle name that we would have definitely used in combination with any of them, but still had a long short list of girl's names.
We ended up in the hospital for two days and took her home still un-named, and hung out with her for almost a week. We ended up using the name that was DH's #1 pick, but I was a little hesitant about it. I still haven't decided if it really suits her 4 months later, but too late now!

We had one in mind, but I was starting to doubt it so really we had nothing! I'm glad we waited because when I saw her she didn't fit that name at all! We ended up naming her a variation of a name we discussed ages ago.

We had a few in mind but she didn't get named until she was born.it didn't end up being a big deal.

We had a list of five or so boy and girl names and funnily enough we went with a name I had previously vetoed!

Only had one name in contention that we didn't love. Two days before DS2 was born DH came up with a suggestion. Just happened to be the same name that I loved but never mentioned.

we had nothing in mind at all. DH came into our hospital room the morning after LO was born, and suggested his name, and it stuck! 34 weeks now with #2 and we haven't discussed names once!

We kept going back and forth on DD2's name right up until the very end. And then it still took me awhile (after birth) to really fall in love with it. Now I love it. But I think it's hard to find another set of first/middle names that you really like for the same gender. You may have already used the names that you really really love the first time!

We scoured three pages of any name we ever mentioned on lined paper when DD was a few hours old! I think it is perfectly ok to not have a long list, short list, whatever, it will come to you when it's supposed to

We couldn't agree on anything, so we brought a handful of names we each liked and named him that evening (I had him in the morning). It was hard and I think it took both of us compromising, since neither of us was 100% sold on what we finally went with. But I think we were just both over thinking it. It was really stressful at the end when everyone kept asking and then the hospital wouldn't let it go after he had arrived. It's says "baby boy last name" on everything we have.

We weren't certain about names but had picked out a couple for boys and girls since we were team green. I was actually pretty positive if we had a girl we would call her Ava though and had told people that. Sure enough we had a girl and when we started discussing names DH said he didn't really like that name after all. Oh man! He wanted a name we could use a short form with. So the name we went with, Olivia, was not even in our top 10 but that's what we picked and call her "Liv". Long story short, we didn't have a name. Well maybe I did, but didn't end up using it.

We name our twins about 12 hours after they were born because we couldn't decide.
We did have some contenders, though, and we were pretty sure about why one baby's name would be.

Nope. I was being super picky too. DH was the one with names, I went with one of his names the week before LO was born.
