Particularly in those first crazy whirlwind weeks?
I have an idea of what I think it'll be like but I'm sure there'll be plenty of surprises along the way!

The mummy guilt. I got it baaad! If anything wasn't perfect for her, I felt awful about it. I forgot to put a hat on her once to go out (she was fine, had other layers on) but I felt so bad I cried all the way home. She has had health problems too that I felt were kind of my fault. Oh and just how much I love her more than anything ever in the world. I knew I would but the power of it was really really surprising.

How crazy you feel with so little sleep. There's a reason it's used as a form of torture.

I just remember thinking that in the moment it would last forEVER but looking back it was a week or so.... and I totally didn't expect the existential crisis of what it means to "be someone's mom"

The shock of looking after another person 24/7 and putting their needs first! Also, how little sleep you can survive on. Also, how fast time goes! my lo is 20 weeks and time still feels like its going way too fast.

So I have a 3.5 year old and an almost 1 year old, and my thing is wondering what in the world I did with all my time in the past. Honestly, I am currently a SAHM and I hardly have time to throw in laundry, make lunch, make supper, do baths and get them to bed. Fitting in activities here and there seems like an impossible feat some days. Now I wonder how I spent all that leisure time I had in years gone by...oh to dream...
