They're def lower than prepreg...and still a cup size bigger.
I'm hoping as we wean that I'll get a few months AT LEAST of them being "normal" before we TTC again.

umm yep. they like..deflated. they're kind of like ski jumps now.

Yes, and it makes me sad. Mine were the perfect size/perkiness at 11 months. Went downhill from there. Wahh!
coconut / 8861 posts
Mine definitely seem lower than before. They seemed to have returned to their previous size once we weaned.
persimmon / 1472 posts
Sigh... definitely not the same. They've dropped and just aren't as perky.
persimmon / 1361 posts
Mine were terrible. I think part of it was I got used to the fullness and once I weaned they just looked sad. My breasts were small before pregnancy, but I think I got used to my bigger breastfeeding boobs. Now I'm pregnant again and things have perked up. Dread the weaning of the next because that will be it....no more babies for me.

yep, totally deflated and became flat as pancakes… never regained their original size.. and sags more too.
pomegranate / 3275 posts
They got quite saggy and low.... but when I got pregnant again they perked back up! Moral of the story, I have to be pregnant for the rest of my life! JK! hahahaha

Oh yes.... so so different. I weaned then got pregnant again so I feel like they never changed density from milk production/storage to just regualr boobs. The are softer, less perky and deflated. I've heard tell rumors that once I wean for a good while (I still had a little milk when I got PG) they might firm up. Alas, I suspect I'll be in underwire until I die

@Freckles: oh, that's still TBD… but i'm not getting my hopes up!

Now that I'm almost done nursing, they have a bit of a flat, sad look. So tragic.
coconut / 8305 posts
*Pregnancy* did a number on mine. They got deflated & pancake like after I had G (didn't bf him). I'm still bf'ing P but they'll likely be pretty close to how they were before her since they're a bit fuller/perkier (if you want to call it that) than before having her.

@sorrycharlie: exact description....
And smaller I used to be a 34B and now I'm a 36A waaaaaaa. I keep trying to tell myself that no matter how they look now they fed and nourished and comforted DD for 13 months and that's amazing

I am 14.5 months pp, and allllllmost done weaning (my right boob still has a little milk, nadda for my left boob). They are a little softer, but aren't saggy/deflated.
ETA: Same(ish) cup size

@mrsjyw: HAHA is all I have to say.
After nursing 2, they are limper and saggier fo sho.
edit: btw I'm haha ing at the state of my juts. ><

I'm still in the middle of BF ing, but I get the sense that they'll be smaller once I stop. And dare I say...I'm kind if looking forward to that? In my defense, my pre-baby boobs were uncomfortably big-I could use a little deflation, ha!
apricot / 319 posts
I'm only 3 months PP and I can tell they've changed so. They're definitely longer and saggier and, like the song says, can ya tie 'em in bow? Yes, yes you can. But I'm still in a "these boobs were made for feedin' and that's just what they'll do" place of not caring what they *look* like, so long as they're functioning the way I want them to. In the meantime, DH has assured me that he's still very much into them, so I guess all'
s well for now. We'll see what it's like after we wean
@sorrycharlie: Ski jumps are a perfectly analogy.

Most studies have proven that breast changes like everyone's describing happens from pregnancy hormones and not actually breast feeding.
honeydew / 7917 posts
Reading everyone's response makes me sad. I pumped for a year, and my boobs returned back to normal in size and shape. I'm breastfeeding now and wondering if my boobs will be deflated. Sadness.
grapefruit / 4056 posts
Mine are the same cup size as pre-preg, but they are a bit sad looking, you definitely couldn't describe them as perky S has been weaned for about a month, after nursing for almost 18 months.
nectarine / 2886 posts
When I first weaned they were really saggy and deflated. After almost a year, they are pretty much back to normal. But I was pretty small to begin with!
hostess / watermelon / 14932 posts
@junebugmama: mine were full and perky until about 6 months pp..then they just deflated as she started going longer between nursing
wonderful olive / 19353 posts
@MamaBehr: hahahahaha!!!
Oh man... I had small boobs before getting pregnant and am totally loving my bigger/fuller boobs now. If they shrink up smaller than pre-pregnancy, omg!! What boobs?!
pear / 1718 posts
I just weaned a month ago but I think mine are pretty much the same as prepregnancy now. They didn't change much during pregnancy, they grew a ton during the early milk days which was kind of nice! but sadly they leveled off around 4 months and are now back to square 1!
pomegranate / 3231 posts
Girls, I hate to say it, but before this pregnancy I miscarried at around 7 weeks, and my boobs were permanently altered just from that experience. So, I am convinced it's at least partially due to pregnancy since I obviously never made it to the breastfeeding stage with the mc.

I weaned a month ago and they are pretty sad looking, padded bras are my best friend these days - I especially hate it when I'm lying down on my back because they pretty much disappear. I miss my pre-pregnancy/pre-breastfeeding boobs. Ah well.
grapefruit / 4120 posts
@ZombieBullfrogHoller: Hahahahahahaha Sorry, tying them in a bow made me laugh.
Mine are small so I couldn't tie them but that's due to size NOT consistency.
I totally buy that pregnancy is responsible for most of it BUT I know mine are in worse shape from BFing, mostly from BFing an older baby/toddler who is constantly testing the limits of their elasticity. There's no way that's not making things worse. Also I have to say mine are currently all dry and itchy because of this same thing.
pomelo / 5720 posts
Mine are sooooo much smaller and definitely not perky anymore. Booo....
cherry / 127 posts
I'm currently BF my 7 week old, and I can already tell that my perky 32As are history.
They're now a lower hanging 36B, and the WORST part is that I have horrible stretch marks due to crazy engorgement after pregnancy. They ballooned up to the size of rock hard cantaloupes. Those marks are never going away
