NOTE: Not looking to hear about how weird and gross this is. I've had those thoughts as well, but after going through PPD, I'm on board to help in anyway possible!
If you did this did you find it helped in any way? PPD, milk supply, hairloss, etc., Did anyone find it to cause adverse reactions?

No advice, but I'm wondering the same thing. I thought it was disgusting before LO, but I am willing to try anything to avoid that PPD again!

Also no answers, but I'm willing to do anything to avoid PPD next time. I think I'll definitely try this as long as I can find someone to do the encapsulation for me.

@skibobrown: There's a woman in my area, a doula, who will do it all for you. That was a HUGE part of deciding to go for it. I don't think I could handle doing it on my own. I can't even handle raw chicken. Yikes.

It didn't do anything for me - A local midwife who is food-safe certified processed it. If we ever have another, I would try it again though.

I watch Don't Be Tardy with that ex Housewife of Atlanta... She gave birth to twins and someone grinded up her placenta and her & her DH drank it in a smoothie

I processed it myself-- dehydrated the placenta and ground it up. I kept it in a container in the freezer and used it to make smoothies. I do feel it helped with mood and milk production (both miles better than after I had Ellie). I would totally do it again.

Mine helped with mood, milk and hair. And it was working great until we moved and my husband left all the fridge contents in his car for a whole day so we had to throw everything away.... anyways my mood sucked after that stunt.

Helped me a lot emotionally while the pills lasted but once they were gone I got diagnosed with PPA/PPD. I would do it again given how brutal the first 6 weeks were with my son.
