I'm baking cookies right now. My plan is to put them in the freezer and hopefully remember to grab them en-route to the hospital. Wrapped really fancy in a ziploc bag, haha.
Is this an ill fated idea?

We didn't bring anything for them but probably should have, at least something small. Your idea is thoughtful!

We brought donuts. I wanted to bring cookies but ds was born Labor Day weekend and we discharged on Labor Day and everything was closed. The nurses were so thankful, it was super sweet. Least we could do for being so well taken care of!

I was totally planning on it, and even bought all the stuff (I was going to make brownies and chocolate chip cookies). Had it in my head that I could bake while I was laboring at home (haha) but I was so overwhelmed with the back pain that I didn't even think about it until after he was born.

@matador84: Did you do it after leaving the hospital? Not on your way, did you?? That's intense!

We planned to, but completely forgot once I went into labor. I think it's a great gesture - they'll appreciate it!

We brought cookies a week later. Also I had a visitor bring in ice cream and we shared it with the nurses at night.

Oh i'm sure the staff will looove your cookies!
We brought an XL tray of truffles from Godiva. I bought them a week before my due date and DH brought in with my bags. We just kinda set them on a table in the room and pretty much every nurse/doctor/whomever that walked in swiped one:)
We had a thank you card sitting there too, which I packed in my suitcase beforehand and wrote out while we were there.
This is the tray except this is the large size...ours was a liiittle bigger (xl)

I made cookies the week before I went into labor and put them in the freezer too! Buttt my water broke just after midnight and we totally forgot to bring them. Oops!
ETA: Next time I bake them I think I'll give them to my mom so that she can remember to bring them when she comes to the hospital!

Haha I told DH we should do this and he rolled his eyes. Pretty much his reaction to everything I read on the Internet. I plan to do something though

We didn't bring anything, but when we had our 1 month baby appointment, I stopped by with brownies for each department that worked with us (our ped is across the street from the hospital). I also wrote them a review reflecting how happy we were with our care and sent a copy to hospital admin.
