There is so much gifted gold going on today! I'm wondering if more people bought gold or had it gifted to them. I bought Gold pretty much immediately (I tell myself that if I hadn't someone would have liked me enough to gift it to me.. Right? Right?). Today I gifted someone else which was even more fun than buying my own! So how did you become a gold member?

Haha I bought it because I didn't think I would be likely to be gifted, and because I wanted to support the Bees and DH was in support of it. And then I gifted someone else!

I kind of wish the gifting was a little more hush, hush. I feel bad for some bees (with high post counts/good advice) who haven't been gifted it when so many are gifting...
I love the gifting itself, just not the attention is is getting on the boards. -
@rawrasaur: I know in my experience, there were many bees who were anti-gold on the initial thread about gold - so I wanted to gift to a ton of users, but was wondering how it would be received, especially by someone who didn't want gold. I know people can change their minds, but just something that occurred to me at first!

@sorrycharlie: @prettylizy: That is true - although I figure that the part that "wasn't for them" was the money part. I myself am waiting for additional features before I pull the trigger. I was hoping they would add something this week, then I could use my birthday to convince DH to let me get it.
