I came real close... I just kept thinking that Tom should swim out to Wilson and save him! The part that got me the most is when he kept shouting that he was sorry... so sad:
Pretty amazing that people (including me) could get so vested in a freaking volleyball... kudos to the director and Tom Hanks for pulling that off. Castaway is just a really good movie, and it's only grown on me over time!

@mrbee: Someone needs to set a definitive statute of limitations on spoilers, haha! I have an aunt who seriously flips out if you bring up Harry Potter around her (and our family is obsessed with it) because she still hasn't seen or read the last book. Which in my opinion, is ridiculous and not my problem. She's had 6.5 years to read the book and 2.5 to see the movie.

@mrbee: She's not that much of a fan, just apparently thinks no one should discuss it in front of her since she wants to see it eventually at some point. And her teen daughter who lives with her owns the movie.
