No which is crazy surprising. I really have trouble going not at home and I'll even go whole weekends without going if DH is home. I really need privacy. For both babies I hadn't gone at all the day prior to their births so I was shocked that I didn't go! (I asked). But i only had to push like 3 times so maybe if I had pushed longer it would have happened.

I don't known for either birth, but I have a doctor friend who claims that 98% of women having vaginal births have some poop--just how much it is varies. Also he said they always lie and say it didn't happen.
Once he told me that, I figured it was inevitable and didn't care either way.

@TrailRunner: I'm so sorry you tore so much but I can't help myself...I am laughing so hard I'm crying.

I vaguely remember one point of feeling like they "scooped" something but, other than that, i'm not sure. Probably did.

No/Yes. I wouldn't have known but DH told me a few months later. At that point we were potty training LO1 so what's a little extra poop?

@simplyfelicity: haha yeah I laugh now when I think about it. I mean seriously after that not much can embarrass me now.

Yes with my first, no with my second. No one told me, but I smelled it lol. I was embarrassed for like a second, and then pushed that baby out!

@IRunForFun: lol I heard it's about 50/50 too! So I guess there's a chance I didn't. I asked DH but he said he didn't know, they were changing the pads so quickly.

Yup. Just a little because I mostly cleared myself out in early labor. But I'm almost certain I did, at some point.
I actually wrote in my birth plan "If I poop, let's all just pretend like it didn't happen." And that's exactly what we did.

Definitely No for dd1
Dd2 was SO FAST I honestly don't know. And I don't want to know.

Oh yes, I definitely did. I pretty much knew it would happen. I was induced so it's not like everything got cleared out beforehand. I wasn't very far dilated but I was in a lot of pain and I had to go but with all of the contractions I just couldn't do it when I tried. So I knew it was coming! I mean, it's not like you just take an enormous poop but for awhile every time you push a little bit comes out lol. I didn't care. Still don't.
No one said anything, but the nurse kept wiping something up with small rags and throwing it in the bins for the dirty stuff everytime after I pushed for awhile lol.

I did ... I was so worried about it happening before I was in labor but when it actually happened when I was in labor IDGAF! I was pushing out a baby and the my Dr and nurse said to push like I would if I was pooping. I felt like I had to go the whole time I was in labor. I was induced. It's all part of labor and I think it happens most of the time anyways. Eh whatever, I got a baby at the end of it. It was worth it lol

I went into labor at night and had been pooping a lot the day leading up to it so I think my system was pretty cleaned out.

I did.....twice... in the same labor and delivery. I saw them cleaning it up. I had no idea it was so common as I'd never heard it was a thing before I did it. I thought I'd just lost the sense of what I was pushing because of the epidural but it sounds like just pushing in general makes this a risk.
