I never went to a pumpkin patch until I was a parent. My parents bought our pumpkins at the supermarket!

We went once when I was a kid, but it was part of the apple orchard we went to for apple picking!
I went with my youth group a couple of times too in MS/HS.

We did not when we were growing up, although I grew up on a farm. We bought our pumpkins from roadside stands.
I'm debating about taking DD, who is 11 mos to one this year. My DH argues that she won't remember it so we shouldn't bother, but I feel like bad mommy when I see all the posts about others taking their infants....

We lived down the street from a farm with a nice farm stand/ store and they had a pumpkin patch that we would go to but it was just a patch. I think they had cider donuts and apple cider maybe but it wasn't like the "patches" I see now that are like little carnivals and festivals.

@Ajsmommy: You shouldn't feel like a bad mommy, either way! It's true she won't remember it. But, that also doesn't mean it wouldn't be a cool experience for her and help her learn about new sensations and words.
