Despite 3rd and 2nd degree tears and the hems, I've been able to go relatively painlessly! (Without softeners).

I went 3 days after absolutely no problem, no pain. thought I was in the clear. Then it was almost a week later and I couldn't go, even with stool softeners and lots of water. Boy, did it suck when I finally went.

Yes. I don't think I was comfortable with #2 until 2 months pp.

My mom gave me lots of fruits and veggies so on day 3 or 4 I went with no trouble! Didn't even need softners.

My post-delivery pigout meal was Five Guys! Since I never really eat stuff like that, it moved through my system really fast and I had a relatively easy BM on the same day I delivered!

They kept giving me stool softeners and then once I got home it was a bit scary because of the c-section pain

No and yes. I went #2 the night I delivered with no problems. I was terrified but just went for it. But I had trouble with it after I got home, thanks in large part to hemorrhoids. Everything closed up and when it did come out it was hard and painful (I was almost in tears a few times). I ended up needing stool softeners for a while.
