SO many, and we were only there one night. Pretty much everyone came the day I gave birth. My parents, in laws, SIL and BIL, 5-6 of my friends, a few of my husbands friends, and my husbands aunt and uncle. I was wiped.

Nope! Most of our family live too far away. With N, it was only my parents and FIL.
With E, it was only my parents and my two co workers.

DH's mom, grandma, and aunt....his sister and our niece, and E. I had a friend stop by. I liked having visitors this time around, once I was past the immediate recovery part

Nope. We didn't ask anyone to come to the hospital. My mom came back and forth to bring us stuff a few times (she was staying at our house) and the in-laws waited till our first day home.

Yes. The night of (Will was born at 7 PM) we had my parents, my husband's parents, my brother in law and his fiancé, my uncle in law and two others. They arrived around 4:30 and I insisted they get to come back to the delivery room right after Will was born to see him. I was delirious with happy. Those were quick visits. The next day, Sunday, all those same people plus husband's grandparents all came at different, coordinated times throughout the day for 1-2 hour visits each. It didn't occur to me to have it any other way, and I ended up loving it. We have so many great sweet pictures from Will's first day with so many who love him. As an aside, I absolutely thought I would want to be alone, just us- but it was the opposite!

I was in for 3 nights, 4 days, and only had my mom and a friend and her two kids come by. That was enough for me!

We had insane amounts of visitors. Everyone found out I had the only suite in the hospital and they literally set up shop for the 3 days I was there. I'm pretty sure there were close to 20 people in my room at one point. But all of our family lives close, and we had a ton of friends stop by. It was ok for the first 2 days, but then I just wanted everyone to GO AWAY!

I labored on a Thursday, and gave birth at almost midnight. My parents and brother were in the waiting room and came in after I was cleaned up. On friday, my mom came up after work, my aunt came in the evening and also drove my mom home. On Saturday morning, we were discharged. Sunday my parents and best friend came to my house.

My inlaws were not able to visit us until about a week after she was born because the whole family got hand/foot/mouth disease from my niece.

I kinda wish I had more visitors on Friday, Jon had gone home to check on our dog, shower and nap. I was alone most of the day and he opted to sleep at home on friday night with the dog. (The hospital is at the end of our street, If i needed him, he could have come in 5 minutes). Between having her 2 weeks early, my inlaws being quarantined, and most of my family living at least 30-40 min away, I was not surprised i didnt have many visitors, they were pretty spread out over the next 2 weeks.

If I remember rightly 2 of my sisters showed up about 3 hours after the birth, closely followed by one of my BILs and also my parents in law. We went home the next morning so no time for any more! I was fine with the visitors as I was still all excited and on a high from giving birth, and it was really nice to have familiar faces in the slightly cold hospital environment. Once we had got bubs home and life with a newborn really started, I was far less keen for visitors!

I was there only one night, but my parents, brother, sister, BIL, SIL, MIL, FIL, and both of our grandmas came.

Yes! It got a bit overwhelming after awhile since the visitors like to stay and hang out. I felt bad kicking them out come feeding time, and when he's done eating, more visitors came. Not much rest for us until nighttime when we got a bit of relief from visitors and just had to focus on DS.

SO MANY PEOPLE. And we were only there for, let's see, 34 hours, from arrival to discharge.

My parents, my brother and his girlfriend, my in-laws, my sister-in-law, my cousin and his wife, my aunt, my best friend, another great friend who works in the hospital...yeah. It was a lot.

No, and I'm glad! We were only there for one night. They wanted to keep me two nights (not really sure why, both me and the baby were perfectly fine!) but we left after one. My MIL was with me while I was in labor (I was induced so I was in the hospital for 2 days) because my husband had to work. Once I went into active labor, my husband stayed with me. Once the baby was born, my MIL, FIL, SIL, and BIL were there. My family lives about 6 hours away, so my mom came a couple of days after the baby was born to help. I'm glad not more people came, I was exhausted!!!

I had way too many visitors the night DS was born. I had him at 3pm and as soon as we were moved to a room we had 11 people show up! It was very overwhelming. Next time I need a few more hours for just us. After that first night people would call/text and ask when they could come and that was ok. It was nicer only having one or two people at a time.

Just family!

No. My parents came up the day she was born, stayed in our apartment overnight and came by the next day, then went home (5 hour drive). Bil came the first night. I was there for two nights and the time with just three of us was wonderful.

I thought I would be sad that we didn't have many visitors since our families aren't local (besides Bil) but it was perfect. And no one even left their house before she was actually born- I did NOT want anyone sitting in a waiting room waiting for me to push her out.

Yes. I was there for 4 days (csection) and it was completely overwhelming. We had my mom, sister, sister in law and boyfriend, my inlaws, aunts, uncles, cousins and their kids, grandparents, friends, people from work.. It was just too much. A lot of them I didn't even know were coming. I completely broke down by the 3rd day and the nurse told me she was putting a no visitor sign on my door.

This time I am not having that many people visit!
