R is 10 months and still EBF and I still have a voracious appetite. He nurses 5-6x a day still so I guess I'm not surprised. I have a pretty hearty appetite as is and with BF I can really put food away!

OMG! Yes!!! I could put down a whole Chipotle bowl and still be "hungry" or I'd have to eat every 2 hours! DH always joked he worried about having enough money raising DS, but now (back then), he's more worried about making enough money to support my eating habits instead. lol
It was awesome because no matter how much I ate, it didn't show up on the scales!

So jealous! I only had an increased appetite the first 2 weeks. Now I feel pretty normal and also BFing is clearly not helping me lose weight. I haven't lost any in the 2 months since we brough LO home!!

@buttermilk: I lost 0 weight from 1 month until 4 months...then lost it all by 6 months and even more by 7 months. For me it just takes time to shed!

I was just going to make a post like this. I can't stop eating! My LO eats at least 12 times a day right now, if not more, and I swear I am hungry again as soon as I finish my meal. What's weird is that I am not a sugar person AT ALL, but I have been craving sugary things since we brought LO home from the hospital.

I eat so much! LO is 4 months. Two lunches are totally allowed, right? Breastfeeding is definitely not free when you factor in all my food. Especially when you try to make it somewhat healthy.
@Alivoo01: I have eaten a Chipotle burrito and gone back to order more. I also order my toddler way too much food and hope she doesn't eat it all.

@Corduroy: I sometimes eat "lunch" at 11 and then again at like 1 : )

Yes! I have barely exercised since DS and i am below my pre-pregnancy weight. I still eat a ton...last night at 11pm i had a pre-bedtime snack of rice, seaweed and avocado.

With LO2, yes. I feel hungry all the time! But I did not experience this with LO1- and, interestingly, I had supply issues with her.

Oh yes! Like a truck driver on a bender! Sometimes DH would look at me funny and I'd yell don't judge me! Rowr! It was intense. It started fading at around 2 years old, when LO significantly dropped nursing sessions. And now at 28 months pp, he's not weaned, but my appetite is back to normal and the weight is creeping back up even though I'm eating less.

I wasn't at the start, but after a few weeks, I became insatiable. Stayed that way when we switched to exclusive pumping.
Unfortunately, my stomach never got the memo when I stopped pumping, and I kept eating as if I was pumping/nursing. I gained almost 10 pounds when I quit. grumble...

definitely in the beginning, but as time went on, especially after the first year, i think i just adapted to eating more and didn't think of it as increase. i did gain weight when i went back to work after a year because my eating was the same, but my activity level and time spent BFing significantly decreased. And when i stopped after 26 months, i certainly didn't experience a decrease! i wish, lol.
