We've never had an oops pregnancy. All three times pregnant (two sons now) we were actively trying and boy was it exhausting those few months of trying; grateful that it didn't take us very long as I know that there are much much longer journeys to baby in our circle of friends.

Yup. I was 9 months post partum, nursing around the clock, and we were avoiding fertile times. I got pregnant on CD5 sex. I miscarried, but man was it a SHOCK! I then got pregnant again two months later after we had sex one time in those two months. Again, not trying. I can't say it was "OOPS" but it was certainly surprising! Miscarried again, unfortunately
Our two sons were very much planned.

Yup, three times. The first I was 21 and it was very scary. The other 2 I was in a committed relationship, married, so while bad timing, not as scary.

I'm 31 weeks into....not exactly an oops pregnancy, but definitely a surprise one. My son was 17 months and my husband and I were just starting to have the "should we have a second?" conversation when I found out I was pregnant. We weren't using any protection because we had spent 5 years trying to have our first baby, and it ultimately took 8 IUIs and 2 IVFs so we didn't think it was something we had to worry about.

No. We used condoms and birth control pills before I got pregnant. We NTNP for a year to get our first LO and TTC over 2 cycles with our second.

Yeah. It took me a while to come to terms with it. We had planned for three but were thinking next year. Oh well, we're thrilled she's here now.

Nope, I've never had an oops. Both were conceived during long TTC journeys. But I can't complain because I know it takes many longer than us.

Yes, she was born in December. We had just started talking about a second- we always wanted one but planned to TTC in a few months. Then my friends with kids C's age started getting pregnant and I was like, maybe we should just be less careful? Then we had a slip up and nine months later...

Not really. I don't think P&P is birth control and we had been talking about how we needed to do something more effective.

Nope. Actively tried for over a year with #1 and then was pleasantly surprised to get pregnant the first cycle with #2, but still planned.

Yep. With DS I was charting and thought we were in the clear, but we were intending to start TTC in a few months. With DD we skipped using BC once...
ETA: we weren't very careful because we knew we wanted another baby in the next year.
Now we don't so I have an IUD

Kind of? We thought I was past my fertile window so we didn't use protection and didn't expect a pregnancy. But we were happily surprised. If a pregnancy would have been truly unwanted we would have been more careful.

Sortof? I can't really count it as an oops since I wasn't on BC, but DD1 is the result of one time not pulling out. I clearly was off on my timing when I said it was good to go lol. A similar thing happened earlier this year but ended in CP. that time I know there was NO way I thought I could get pregnant - we DTD right after AF was over and I typically have long cycles! DD2 was very much planned and it felt weird to actually be trying!

Yep. I found out I was pregnant two weeks after our wedding night which was completely unplanned but it ended in a miscarriage a couple weeks later. And my 7 month old wasn't planned either (I got pregnant at 9.5 months pp) but definitely welcomed!!!

DD2 was not planned, but due to a move and travel, my fertile time was delayed about a week, so instead of avoiding my fertile period, we accidentally timed it perfectly to conceive. she's the best little oops, but it took me a while to get on board!

Nope! I have had a lot of pregnancy scares but never ended up with an oops.

No, and I'm so thankful that my only pregnancy was exactly on my preferred timeline. I know others aren't so lucky (getting pregnant before they were ready, after they thought they were done, or can't get pregnant at all)

If "oops I f'd up my birth control one time and ended up pregnant" counts as an oops, then yes.

yes, my first was an oops. Happened when i was still finishing my PHD, barely started a less than ideal part time job, DH on a low salary post-doc position, no house, and lots of debt. Though emotionally and mentally we were ready and i was anxious to have kids soon so i adapted pretty quick. Then miraculously a lot changed for both of us job wise by the end of 9 months so everything worked out amazingly.
Second pregnancy took 6 months of actively TTC and in hindsight the timing was good as i changed jobs just before i got pregnant and we finally got a house

Yep, currently pregnant with our "oops," who will be our third. DH had a vasectomy, and we thought six months later we were in the clear. Guess not! After the initial shock wore off, we are really excited.

Yes. This one (#2) wasn't a total oops, as we were planning to start trying and had decided to pull the goalie and NTNP for a few months. But we did not expect to get pregnant the very first month since it took 7 months of actively trying for our first pregnancy.

A lot like @erinbaderin - it took us 3 years to have DS1 and we decided to NTNP right before DS1 turned one with the idea that if I wasn't pregnant by my 35th birthday 9 months later, we'd go back to the fertility folks. Welp, we found out 2 weeks later that we were already pregnant and now we're having 2 kids 20 months apart!

Both. I had just gotten off bcp and thought I had my period because I was def bleeding around the time I was expecting it. By the time I got my bfp, I was 11 weeks!!!
With the second, I hadn't even had a period, was still ebf around the clock and had a 9 month old.
Both great oops of course!
