I had to wear braces but sadly I didn't wear my retainer so my teeth aren't as straight as they should be!

3 1/2 years, yes!
Perma retainers still in, and wore my other one as much as I should have for 5 years after, that was part of the deal to get whitening after braces!!!
I was born with 11 extra teeth so my teeth were messed.up.

Yep! I had braces for almost two years, but I also didn't wear my retainer so my teeth are crooked again.

I wore them for 2 years. I had a massive gap between my front two teeth.

I never got braces. My teeth aren't perfect, but they give me character!

@Beebug: 11 extra teeth?! I should borrow from you because I had 8 extracted for braces! ha!
I got braces in 5th grade and got them off in 8th grade? I haven't worn my retainer in ages so my teeth have shifted and some gaps have formed, but my teeth are still straight.

I got them when I was 19, I had such bad teeth when I was little but apparently my parents didn't want to help me fix them

I had them in 7th grade. My teeth were pretty straight naturally, but I had one that grew in way crooked. As soon as that was fixed, I was done with braces. I was pretty good about wearing my retainers, but after my dog ate it for the 3rd time my parents were done paying for them, ha. My teeth have remained straight, though!

I've had braces 2 times. The first time, I was in 3rd grade and was honestly probably too young for them (didn't have the vigilance to wear that retainer!) I got them again when I was 18 and wore them for 2 years.

I had braces in middle school, didn't wear my retainers properly, and had to get Invisalign in my early twenties. My parents paid for the braces, but if you lost your retainer you had to pay for the replacement, which was fair. I had to pay for the Invisalign and that sucks, but I was lucky that my insurance covered $2000 of it even in adults.

No I was the only one of my siblings that didn't get them. My teeth are not perfect by any means but I love them.

Yep. My bottom teeth aren't straight anymore though. My wisdom teeth messed them up again.

Nope. I was blessed with perfectly straight teeth. I have terrible vision though.

I had them for 3 years but didn't wear my retainers like I should have and my bottom teeth have shifted a little. It's not too bad but I still want to get Invisalign to fix them.

Nope! My top teeth are lovely and straight but my bottom teeth are crowded in one spot.
When I was about 15 my dentist said that I might need braces. My incisors were way up high and weren't coming down. Thankfully he just pulled the teeth behind and they came down on their own!

Nope. I had a retainer that had a key my Mom had to use in it to tighten it each night, though.

I had them really early in 4th grade and got them off by the end of 5th. It worked because I felt cool at that age to have them
I have a permanent retainer on the inside of my lower teeth that was kind of he 'trademark' pf my orthodontist. I could have it taken off at this point but it doesn't bother me so I just keep it.
