I had 6 visitors but I only saw 2 of them! The nurses noticed I was bleeding abnormally right before 4 visitors arrived (LO, BIL, MIL and SIL) and I wasn't able to see them. They saw DH and the sleepy newborn.
Two of my friends came the next day!

Yep! My parents, sister and IL were there when she was born so got to meet her a couple hours later. Then the next day IL came again before they drive home, then 5 friends came through out the day. I was glad hospitals are boring!!

with my first, about 8 coworkers. I delivered at the hospital we all worked at, just 2 floors down. Maybe it was more, but I have pictures with about 8 of them... Hard to remember exactly.
with 2.0, DD1, my cousin, my niece, one girlfriend and my parents who flew in from CA just in time to see me go home.

I had a good amount of visitors. Lots of family and friends came. I only had one friend and his parents turned away because it was family nap time, but they came back later.

We had pretty much every family member within 2 hours drive and every friend in town come visit. There were probably 30+ visitors at the hospital over 3 days. It was mayhem. But we knew that it would be and planned accordingly. There's one large double room in our hospital and we claimed it as soon as we were admitted. It had its own living room, an extra bathroom, and a dividing wall. Thank goodness.

My parents and sister came the day LO was born. The second day in the hospital we didn't have any visitors!

My mom came for a few days and a coworker attempted to visit LO in NICU (which PISSED. ME. OFF.) but other than that, no.

Yes, and a lot of unwanted ones who stopped without asking. I don't know how they found out where I was but next time I'm going to add the privacy feature to my name in the hospital computer system. So then my room number can't be given out unless I personal give it out.

Yes we had lots of family and friends visit. It was nice but also inconvenient when trying to breastfeed a newborn.

I did, lots of family and friends. It was a bit much. I only wanted family, but some people didn't take the hint, ha ha.

DH called my mum when they said they were prepping me for the OR, so she was there once we got into recovery and stayed all day, every day. Other than that, FIL visited as he was at the hospital for a medical appointment anyway. SIL visited, as did my dad, stepmum and brother.

I did - I had quite a few. I gave birth thursday night but wasn't discharged until Monday so I encouraged people to come visit since I was so bored! The hospital was good about visiting hours so I got plenty of rest in there too.

I had my sister, grandma, dad, his gf, mil, lo and my midwife (she counts as a visitor since she didn't deliver baby and she doesn't work at the hospital where I had to have a c/s).

yes, mil, fil, both sil, nephew, aunt in law, cousin, my mom, her boyfriend, my dad, my boss, a couple friends from work and it was all really overwhelming!

Just our parents. It was flu season and the hospital forbade (well, highly discouraged bc it wasn't enforced) visitors other than grandparents and siblings of the baby.

Only my MIL. My parents came from out of state a few days after we were discharged. I really didn't want any visitors, to be honest!

We didn't have any visitors. All of our family is out of town. I didn't want visitors for at least 24 hours after DS was born. Plus it was Christmas and it snowed quite a bit that week. I was fine with it though. I wasn't up for entertaining people anyway.

Yes. Baby girl was in special care nursery for the first 24hrs so we were the only ones that saw anyone. My mom, DH's parents, BIL, SIL, Step dad, a couple friends, a couple of our aunts and cousins all stopped by the time baby was out of the nursery and we came home.
