I have now made up my mind to switch daycares, I have been having lots of little issues with them and there have been other triggers that I dont want to give the details of yet until I get LO out of there. I am a little worried for her though since she likes the people at her current daycare and has gotten adjusted there. I worry that moving her will cause her distress over again. I also worry if the next place I find will truly be better for her or not. She is now almost 6 months old

We switched when LO was 4 months because a spot opened up in a daycare much closer to home... I LOVED his first daycare, and the switch was just to make our lives easier.
LO didn't seem to care at all. It took a little time for us to get used to how the new place did things differently, and for them to get to know LO, and LO was younger than yours is, but still, I really think it made pretty much zero difference to LO. He was still getting attention and fed and changed, there were still people holding him, still other kids to look at... couldn't have cared less. -
@Lozza: Thanks for that, your probably right and I am just worrying for nothing. Children adjust so much easier than we do

We didn't switch daycares, but we did change from a private nanny to an in-home daycare when DD was about 9 months. The nanny wasn't working out for us, and we felt the daycare was a better fit for our needs. Honestly, DD adjusted better than we did! She took an immediate liking to her daycare provider, and she had no trouble adjusting to the new situation. I think it's much easier to make the switch when they're young infants, because they don't have developed memories, yet.

I think your LO is young enough that she won't notice too much. We switched from nanny to daycare as well. I hope the new place will fit your needs better.
