There's a SUBSCRIBE link right underneath each post... if you click that, you will be subscribed to the post... no need to check that checkbox and drop a comment!

This is a stupid question, but what is the difference between favoriting a post and subscribing to it? I don't think I've ever subscribed, I just favorite them!

@Pepper: Favoriting is just a way you can save threads or blog posts to your profile. No email updates will ever be sent to you...
Subscribing will send an email update to you when someone comments on a thread that you've subscribed to!

I always thought people said they were subscribing because they wanted the thread to thrive and give it a little bump. Let the author know the thread is appreciated?

I did know this, but I don't necessarily want to get an email anytime anyone posts to the thread which is usually why I just comment so that it ends up in my posts. That way I can easily find it, but I don't get an email every time someone posts.

@2PeasinaPod: You could Favorite the post instead if you wanted? If you click that red heart, then the boards thread will be saved in your profile...

@2PeasinaPod: Check out the heart in this screenshot! It's grey if you haven't selected it... if you click on it (or mouseover it), it turns red. Let me know if it's showing up for you...

I did know but I like to comment to keep the post going. I didn't realize there was a difference in favoriting and subscribing though! I thought they did the same thing.
