I did. They told me to take if off when I was actually pushing, but the pressure of the mask against my neck when it was off was making me sick (I also had to take off my necklace for the same reason). Finally I ripped the dang thing completely off and held it to my face between contractions.

Yep - even though I didn't want it. The delivery crew compromised with me by allowing DH to hold it to my face between pushes.
ETA: During the last couple rounds of pushes I was really happy to have it . . . it was a long labor (27 hours) and the O2 helped to give me a little extra energy between pushes.

I needed it during labor because they were seeing some decelerations in LO's heart rate. I didn't find the mask comfortable, but was willing to wear it.

Yes. Like @LittleFox: there were some decelerations of LO's heartbeat, so the oxygen helped stabilize her. They wanted me to wear it for several hours, but one of the nurses kept telling me when it was okay to remove.

Yes, I started freaking out from a combination of my IV (I hate needles) and the contractions so it caused her heart rate to be all over the place. I just held it to my face and they took it away when I started pushing.

A nurse gave me a mask at the end of labor because LO's heart rate looked "a little sleepy," but it didn't help any.
I *needed* it during pushing because I was so close to passing out! Laboring forever, not sleeping for three nights, and purple pushing is not a good combo!

Yes for over an hour! I think I kept passing out while I was pushing and pushed for over an hour and DS wouldn't come out. I can still remember how hard it was to breathe and push--it literally caused me to be congested!

Yes, because my LO's heartrate kept dropping. It didn't bother me at all.

Yes, LO's heart rate was dropping during contractions so they had me on O2 while pushing.

Yes, same as Mamabolt. My LO's heart rate was dropping so I had to have it on during L&D.

They gave me one while I was pushing. They didn't say why. It seemed like more of a pain than a help to me, since it kept falling off and I had to hold it on.
