My parents didn't since english is their second language (although my dad is very fluent). I'm looking forward to helping Charlie and Olive with their homework. But they're gonna have to get math help from Mr. Bee!
I'm going to be all up in their school, parent-teacher conference, pta business ha!

I think my mom helped me up until the 3rd grade and then it was lost on her. But then I took Mandarin in high school and my parents were able to help me with that.

My parents NEVER helped me - they made me do it all myself. I plan to be really involved in my kids' school lives.

Yep, my parents helped me. My dad is really, really smart (I thought he was a legitimate genius growing up) and he practically taught me math from 8th grade through high school because I always ended up with really awful math teachers.
As a teacher I believe that parental involvement with homework is so important!

Yup they helped. My dad helped me a lot more than my mom. Both of my parents are really smart but my dad and I think in the exact same way. My mom looks at things differently so it's sometimes hard for us to understand each other when we try to explain something.

My parents didn't help me at all. English was a second language for them. I plan to be involved in my children's education.

My parents helped me a lot. My dad covered math up until I started pre-calc, and my mom helped with everything else. She was especially awesome about helping me study for tests. I lucked out because my mom is a high school teacher, and runs learning centers where she helps students study and stay on top of their work. I felt totally crippled when I got to college and had to study on my own!

I remember when I was really young they helped, but as I got older no. They hired tutors when I needed it. It was in things like chemistry which I'm sure my dad is good with, but he didn't have too much time to help.

I don't rememeber too much when I was little. When I was in Junior High and High School, I'd ask them for help and usually figured it out as I was explaining what my problem was. I don't think my parents went to too many parent-teacher interviews. I good grades and was a good kid, so I don't think they saw the point.

I don't remember them ever helping me.. :T I remember my sister helping and us getting in to lots of fights. HAHA

My parents didn't help very often. With five kids, it's kind of tough to help everybody. We had to be capable of doing it on our own.
I'd like to help my future kids when they're younger, and stay on top of their subjects, curriculum, and activities as they get older.

No because they never needed to. I typically did my homework before getting home anyway. They did help me with big projects though.

My dad was helped me on my homework up until college (learning accounting is hard man)!! It didn't matter what subject I was struggling with, my dad was there to help me, even during AP Chemistry!
I plan on helping my kids with their homework. It keeps my mind working and informed too. Nervous to see the day my kids are "smarter" than I am. Ha!

I plan to try to help our lo, even if I don't know the answer. We can work through it together.

My dad did. He's an engineer and could always help me with math and science. I am excited to be able to do the same for my LO.

@Mrs. Bee: Nope not at all. I was a nerd and an athlete so I would do my hw before practice all the time so I could just sleep when I got home at night!
