I read most of it. Skipped the parts about BC. Using it as reference still.

Nope. The articles on Fertility Friend covered everything I needed to know.

DH always jokes that I didn't get past the table of contents. I started reading but got pregnant right away.

More for NFP, which we used as BC for almost 5 years. By the time we were ready to try, I knew a lot about my cycles and how they work. It's been a valuable resource!

Yup almost the whole thing. Used it for bc for a few months then for ttc.

@rachiecakes: my sil was like that- she brought it back to b&n and exchanged it for a pregnancy book.

@jaypegs: same here! I read the book just before I stopped using HBC, about 3 years before we started TTC.

I read it and found it pretty fascinating. I had been on birth control for soo long so I didn't know much about fertile cm etc.

I did, and then loaned it to a friend who is no longer a friend... Is it a worry that I'm more disappointed about the loss of the book?

I did, skimmed some sections, but enjoyed some sections about what to watch for.

Nope. The interwebs taught me all I needed to know. I have a very predictable cycle and successfully used NFP (just tracking my cycle on my phone, no temping or anything) as BC for three years before TTC. And then got preggers on the first try once we did TTC.

Yes, though I didn't really learn anything I didn't know already (most of it from HB!). But I did have a predictable cycle and got pregnant the 2nd month trying.

YES! I learned a lot about my body from that book, before I started exploring the interwebs and realized I could have learned a lot on boards like this one. However, now that I have been diagnosed with PCOS, I think I'll bust that book back out and read the chapters I skipped about infertility.

Yes. We also used it for NFP for several years (before taking our NFP classes) before getting pregnant.

I read like 1/3 of the book then gave up. I had enough info at that point.

YES, almost every chapter, loved it and loved learning about ovulation for both preventing and TTC.
