When I was in 5th grade we got the puberty movie about getting our periods. It was about some girls who had a sleepover and one of the girls got her period overnight. The next morning, the mom makes pancakes in the shape of the female reproductive organs to explain what was going on in their bodies. I've had an aversion to pancakes ever since!

I've only ever met one other person (who didn't go to school with me) who got the same puberty movie! I guess everyone else got a more clinical version. The same girl who saw the pancake ovaries also saw Secret Life of Mary Margaret with Calista Flockhart as a bulimic teen, but I think that one was more common. What about you? Did anyone else get these movies in health class?
