Several times with my first. I thought I might with my second, even reached for the basin, but I didn't. Whew!

Yes with my first as I was hunched over a pillow, trying to stay still for my epidural placement during transition. The nurse moved so quickly - I almost puked right on dh's head.
Not during labor for dd2. I dry heaved a few times before labor even started because I got the biggest back spasm of my life while adjusting myself in the hospital bed. That was more painful than giving birth.

No, and I puke really easily.
I was in labor with LO1 for 50+ hours and I ate several meals during labor - including lamb chops on my hands and knees. My doula was certain I would vomit but nothing.

I did not, which was weird since it doesn't take much at all to make me vomit in most other circumstances. I think it was just all over too quickly for it to be an issue.

Not with my first, but definitely with my second. My first was an easy labor, straight from a movie or something. Gushing water break, DH hailing a cab, me having a cute dress and make up with no contractions as I went into the hospital, a great epi and 3 pushes. My second was fast and furious with nothing cute about it. I vomitted multiple times at home, in triage and in L&D. I also vomitted out the car windows at 70 mph, so we showed up in the valet with puke all along the passenger side. Whoops.

I threw up twice while pushing (I pushed for two hours). I barely ate anything that day and low blood sugar always, always makes me puke.

Yep. I think 3 times. In transition (which I hear is common) and then post c section on the table (which I hear is also common). I told my husband he needed to move the baby from beside my head and get someone to put a bucket there.

With DD - no
With DS - I threw up during transition and continued to for a couple of hours after he was born.

Loads of times with DS1, and maybe once or twice during transition with DS2. DH managed to drop the bowl while I was mid throw up which was delightful!

@mediagirl: Yes. Right then, they said, no more laboring down, time to push.

Soooo much throwing up. It was awful and then I just had a c section at the end anyway.

Not with my first, but with my second after the epidural went in. And I had had Indian food for lunch. That did not look or smell pretty.

I did twice with my first labor. The first time I got on a ball, and as soon as a contraction hit- I threw up, then about an hour before pushing, I threw up again.

I puked like an animal, my blood pressure had dropped quickly with my epidural. it was so gross! then my epi was topped up so much that I was numb to my chest, and as I was trying to vomit I couldn't get it out and started freaking out.

I was in active labor at home and didn't realize it. I started throwing up and then my water broke while I was puking and then I threw up more in the hospital parking lot and in triage. That was fun.

I voted yes bc I did with my first, but didn't with my second.
I do remember being a little surprised and the nurse telling me it was really common.

I didn't either time but I felt really nauseous. And I came close with my first labor.
I actually can't believe I didn't since I'm kind of a puker.
