I want to track them so I get a general idea on how much they are sleeping, but I'm fairly inconsistent with it. I guess it's harder with one falling asleep and waking at different times than the other.

Yes! I still track their sleep on BabyConnect app. Sometimes it's a bit of a guess if I put them down awake, but I usually start the timer going for naps when I stop hearing their babbling on the monitor or stop seeing them move around on the monitor. They are on a pretty similar schedule now, although Blake sleeps more than Alice.

@twodoghouse: I was wondering when I should start the timer for naps. L usually falls asleep much faster than K since she can self soothe better. I think I usually start the timer when I put them in their cribs and stop the timer when I get them out of their cribs. I know some of that time is spent babbling and awake.

@bluestriped bee: When my kids were younger and on multiple naps, I definitely stressed about starting and stopping the timer at the right second so it would be accurate so I could see when they were due for a next nap. Now that they are on one nap a day, it's not quite so bad. Also, with two at once I always felt like I had to be ahead of the game. I couldn't wait till they actually started to get tired because they would be overtired by the time I made bottles, got them both upstairs to their room, diapers changed, and into sleepsacks. So I really relied on the app for timing so I could start prepping in advance of actual nap time. Now I don't have to worry as much about all that! It gets better!
