If so, for how long? We were gifted one and I'm just wondering how much it actually gets used.

We didn't use ours...DS was sitting up by himself by 4 months so it seemed like a waste. Also, my mom always told me it was better for them to learn to sit up alone (not sure why--I think she said the seat wasn't good for him in some way but I never looked into it).

I started using it around 4 or 5 months, and used it for awhile. It was great for when DS starting eating solids because I would sit it on the floor and sit with him and feed him rice cereal.

We bought one and DD didn't really like it very much so it was barely used.

Unused except for a couple of photo ops. He was a bit too chubby for it by the time it would have been useful.

First baby was in it a little more than my second... My second was too active and on the go to sit in it. She would twist and turn... It just became a bother. Timewise, it didn't last more than two months before being put up on Craigslist.

Another one of the "I have to have it" items that barely got used! We used it a handful of times, mostly for skype sessions.

Started using it around 4 months and used it until she was skilled enough to try and get out of it. We had the tray attachment so it was used as her highchair for many months.

LO loved the Bumbo! I really think it helped her learn to sit up. I started putting her in it for a few minutes at a time since she was 6 weeks old (her head was still wiggly but she was gaining good neck muscles). And she used every day until she was about 5-6 months old. Now at 9 months, I plop her in there for a few minutes if I have to go do something quick but it has to be quick because she knows how to get out of it!

I've read some mixed reviews on whether it is good for babies developmentally (can delay them learning to sit unassisted) so we aren't planning on using one.

charlie loved the bumbo! once they get to a certain age (4 months-ish), they hate being on their backs. olive flips over the second we put her on her back so she can be on her tummy and move her head. the bumbo gives them so much freedom to look 180 degrees.
but olive can't sit properly in it and slumps over in it. i haven't tried it in a month though (she's 7 months) so maybe she can sit in it now. she is behind in sitting up.
i bought mine used though, lent it to a friend, and now have it back for olive, so i got my money's worth.

My LO loved his Bumbo, and he used it as early as a month old. He hated tummy time but would sit in his Bumbo and practice holding his head up. Even at a year old I'll plop him inside for fun, and he'll pose for pictures.
I have heard great things about the Bebepod, which is better for babies with bigger thighs.

used it every day! Except not the Bumbo, his thighs didn't fit into the holes... we got a Bebepod.

We wanted to, but LO's legs were too chunky. She'd get stuck.

We did for about a month. I got it used though so I didn't care too much that it had a short lifespan.

we loved it with Little S, she was late to sit up nicely so we used it for a highchair when she started solids.

We have a Mama's & Papa's Baby Snug. I read so many reviews for the Bumbo and felt like it wasn't worth the money. The baby snug comes with a tray and a strap to attach it to a chair. The colored insert is also removable which makes the seat usable for well over the first year. We use it at least once a day and really like it a lot.

We didn't get much use out of it. There was such a small window between being able to hold head up high enough to be in it (they shouldn't be in it before that) and wants to sit up on own.

We have the Bebepod and didn't use it very much. Hopefully #2 will like it better than LO did.

So far, we have used it twice! My dog uses it as his bone storage spot!

She didn't like it very much, the most I used it was before we had a highchair. I'd put it on a chair next to me while we were eating dinner, she quickly figured out how to arch her back and practically topple over backwards. It's in the craigslist pile.

we got one for $10 used. we'll likely get what we paid out of it! I'm not too worried.
