When I was little, I wanted to be a Doctor and a medical school professor. I also wanted to be a stay at home mom. Totally delusional!
Haha. What about you?

When I was little I wanted to be a pediatrician. Then I realized how long I'd be in school AND how badly I hate needles, so I decided being a doctor wouldn't work out.
Instead, I'm a teacher (and I graduated in 3 years instead of 4. I really couldn't have handled 10+ years of school!)

When I was little, I wanted to be "The Queen". That later changed to "an artist", and by college it was "psychologist", then "set designer", then "television/film producer".
I am now none of those things
Although as a wedding/event planner, I do feel like all of the above (minus the queen) sometimes!

@mrsnana: Hahahaha I also wanted to be the queen
My more realistic dream was to be a SAHM so....4 more months or so and I will be!

I've always wanted to be a teacher. Went to college, got my teaching credential, then decided it wasn't my cup of tea. Now I work in corporate America. LOL. Not exactly exciting, either.

@running elley - that reminds me of one more! During jr. high I always said I wanted to be a "housewife/tourist", and for Job Shadowing day I wanted to hang out with my mom's friend Jessica. Oddly, no one let me do that
But I do work from home now which is wonderful, and hope to be a WAHM sometime in the future!

I wanted to be a professional figure skater...despite having never ice skated before (and I didn't until I was like 22!).
Now, I'm really not sure what I WANT to be, but for the next while at least I'll be a SAHM.

I wanted to be a veterinarian, if I wouldn't have gotten married so young then I probably would be. I also wanted to be a real estate agent and then a real estate appraiser. I work in insurance now, not my dream job...

I wanted to be a writer. Now that I've realized I can't make a living from penning stories, I work with language instead (and write in my spare time).

I wanted to be an English teacher. Yeah, that's laughable now because I hate it. I ended up getting my degree in biology and did research for a while.

I wanted to be an olympic dressage rider and a midwife. So... half of it is half done? I'm in the process to become a midwife, and I'm a doula now.

@mrsnana: hahaha I love it, that's cute.

a rockstar, but little to no talent was a fruitless endeavor. then i wanted to be an accountant because my dad was one, and then i spent 15 years doing just that, and started hating it. i'm an admin assistant now, and i really like it, no overtime and not stressful. more time to spend with my LO.

When I was little I wanted to be an actress... then I wanted to be a veterinarian for a long time. In the end, I'm a research scientist and a college professor. Not exactly what I planned for.

I wanted to write books. Now I'm a writer and editor. I clearly have a one-track mind! Once I decided on writing, it became my only burning aspiration in life. I'm still not sure how I lucked out with DH and a baby instead of cats...

I wanted to be a cow when I was a toddler/small child. My parents thought it was adorable and bought me cow costumes and cow toys and cow everything. My mom bought me a set of cow pattern dishes when I moved ahahh
In middle/high school I wanted to be a police officer
I started getting serious with DH at the end of high school and decided I wanted to be a mother. SAHM kind
Needless to say I am not any of those things and I don't know what I want to * realistically be when I grow up.

I wanted to be a gymnast when I was lil, then a lawyer since middle school. I'm not an attorney now, so no, not what I wanted to be when I was younger; but I love my job

I wanted to be a marine biologist. I work in real estate now. Although I'm still obsessed with sharks and read books and study about marine life for fun.
