yes and no. she got long stretches on her own, so she was STTN for her age early on (8-10 hours some times) and then she had some regressions so for her to get to 12 hours all the way through, we had to ST at 12.5 months.

I sleep trained our oldest and it took a good 2 weeks but he's been a great sleeper since. He is 5 now. Our youngest sort of just fell into it naturally so I think we sleep trained so briefly I don't even remember him crying much during that period.

She STTN on her own very early but had to sleep train around 7 months to teach her to fall asleep on her own rather than relying on the bottle.

He started STTN for 12 hours all on his own at 8 months.

LO started sleeping through the night on her own at 9 months.

I would say on her own around 10 months. We sleep trained around 5/6 months with no real lasting or consistent change in her wake ups. I truly feel that sleeping through the night (for us) was just another milestone that she met when she was ready to and having nothing to do with us really (minus establishing an appropriate bedtime and bedtime routine).

It seems like most babies will sttn on their own by age two (and obviously a lot of babies will start much earlier than two). We are hoping it happens sooner rather than later, but DD is an escalator when it comes to night crying and already puts herself to sleep on her own at the beginning of the night. We are just waiting it out.

Heck no! we had to sleep train at 5 months because it was so bad. Now he sleeps like a charm though

We didn't have to sleep train. She started STTN on her own very early.

Sleep trained at 10 ish months. Then he did well but regressed at 15 months with teething and illness and then started sstn again on his own most nights at 18 months.

No sleep training and Miss A started STTN at 22-23 months but she still wakes once or twice a week. She occasionally or very nearly STTN when she was 3-5 months old but that went out the window at six months (self- soothing wasn't the issue either)

She slept 10 hours straight early on but kept the 530am feed for awhile. We let her CIO a couple nights at that time around 7/8 months and has been doing 12 hours ever since.

No sleep training - DS1 started STTN around 4 months. But he started waking up again around 7-8 months. After that we began to cosleep and he'll STTN.

DS2 began to STTN consistently at 5 months also with no sleep training. He can also put himself to sleep while big brother still can't do that. Thankful I got one baby that likes sleep!
