@mrbee: we did the same thing!! My sister and I shared a room - but we didn't read together because we didn't get along... but I would keep the light on and read, or if she turned off the light, I'd shine the flashlight under my covers and read like that.

When I shared a room with my little brother we read together.

I don't ever remember my parents reading to us, except family devotions and when my mom was teaching me how to read.

nope, parents never read to me. though my mom loved to read, so i do remember going to the library with her since i was a 3 (that i can remember) and picking out books, which was something we continued even into college until i moved out.
