I did during Bee's first labor! Bee was sleeping too though, and we had a doula there who was watching over us. Still though, when I woke up I felt terrible about falling asleep.
I didn't nap during Olive's birth... that one was much faster!

Nope! Either did I, but from my first contraction to her being born was only 9 hours, and it was all after a long nights rest and she was born around dinnertime. We got lucky with that one. Had it been in the middle of the night, or a long labor, I would have encouraged him to take a nap.

Nope, he was about to try to rest a bit, as I was, but then the doctor told us I was ready to push! It was a very fast labor.

Yes, we both slept in the hospital after my epidural. It was the middle of the night and we had been up all day while I was laboring at home. I had a really labor so I did not mind that he was sleeping. The nurses kept coming in to check on me so that part was annoying.

Nope, from first contraction to birth it was only 13 hours plus she was born at 7:48pm. DH was at work until 1. Then we had to go by the doctor and drive to the hospital. By the time we got to the hospital, my water broke and I was in very active labor and very vocal.

Yes! I was crying out for him in pain and it didn't even wake him up. He just zzzzzzzd away! I wasn't happy....

@Rainbow Sprinkles: I did this the first night when LO needed to be changed. I kept calling him and he was just sleeping away. Luckily, my MIL was there and when she saw me trying to get myself up (I was still very sore), she got up and ran over to change LO.

Nope! My labor was only a few hours and she was born at 9:27p. I was annoyed that he slept so hard afterward though - I had to keep calling nurses because he wouldn't wake up!

Yes. I was pretty in and out of it myself, and we'd been up for 36 hours at that point. But I was still pissed.

After we got sent home from the hospital the first time we went in DH napped for a few hours (my contractions were really bad but I also wanted to be alone). He didn't nap at all once we went back to the hospital though.

Nope, my labor and delivery was less than 3 hours! So even though my water broke at 11pm and I delivered at 154a and they didn't finish cleaning me up until around 4-he didn't sleep until I sent him home!

Yup. He slept for nearly 6 hours last night, and I just sent him home to get an hour's nap before his parents get to the hospital this afternoon. I figure it's good that one of us get some sleep.

Yes. Labor started at 10 pm (our bedtime) so we were both up all night and he couldn't wait to get some sleep in! I actually ended up going to the hospital and getting sent home around 4 am and then going back quickly at 5.... he tried so hard to not sound disappointed that I wanted to go back. But he wanted to sleep! Yet obviously I didn't care what he wanted. I was in pain, I wanted meds. And once I got those meds, he could sleep all he wanted.

Labor spanned three nights, so DH did sleep. Not enough though, the poor guy was just as exhausted as I was by the end!

Yup. After I got my epidural he snoozed a bit (it was around 3am). I tried to sleep but I was too excited.

Yepp! Like @mamamoose he slept after I had the epidural. I couldn't because I was so excited!!!

Nope. We got to the hospital at 5am and I had her at 11:49am.:-)
