Mine didn't.
Curious to see if it'll break this time!

I was so surprised when my water broke because it had been drilled in my head that it was not as common as Hollywood makes it out to be.

Yes, but the midwife was just about to break it. I'd had my epi and the contractions had slowed way down, so she was going to do a quick check and then break my water to get things moving again. Just as she was about to start, my water broke naturally....and I was at 10 cm. Good news all around!

I heard a huge pop while I was sleeping and convinced it broke! I couldn't tell until I saw a little blood tinge. My nurse at the hospital couldn't tell if it broke either and had to send a sample to the lab... And sure enough...

I don't know if it broke. I never felt a gush or wetness.

When I got to the hospital the nurse handed me a gown and told me to change. I went in the bathroom because I felt like I had to pee and the minute I got in there it broke on its own. My husband thanked me for not letting it break in the car.

They broke mine at 9cm. It was apparently bulging so I assume it probably would have broken on it's own soon.

Yes super early at home...I was only 1 cm. I think that's why I didn't get to labor long before the c-section...no water to buffer LO.

Yup! Totally thought I peed in my pants as I was getting up from the couch!

With my first, yes. Second, no (since I was induced). Everyone said it wouldn't hurt to have my water broken by the doctor but it did!

No, mine was broken for me and the doc refused to let me have an epi first. It HURT!

Nope.... Twice.
Dr broke it an hour or two before pushing out #1, maybe at around 8 cm or so and after my epidural.
Dr broke it like a minute before I pushed #2 out at 10cm, no epi.

my water broke three times (!) with DD, and the last ine was by the doctor. With DS my water broke as my doctor was doing a cervical check.

I was induced but they started me on cervidil at 6pm and by 5am I was 6cm and my water broke when I rolled over trying to get comfortable in the hospital bed. That's all it took to put me in labor, violent cant-speak-through-them contractions started within 10 minutes of my water breaking.

With my first no, but with my second it did at 37 weeks 1 day. He had a scheduled c-section date but apparently that wasn't going to work for him! I remember thinking "ohmygosh my water broke" but as we walked into the hospital I started to second guess myself and hoped I hadn't peed myself because I would have been so embarrassed (because we had to find someone to take care of DD etc).

Yup while I was in labor and it just kept on going....
