Can anyone enlighten me as to what the difference is between clothes in size 24m and size 2T. DD currently wears some 12m and some 18m clothes, but I am starting to purchase some stuff in the next size up, and I can't figure out if I should be buying 24m or 2T. Are they the same thing, or not?

I found 24M had shorter pant and sleeve lengths. 2T seems to be for taller, skinnier kids. So if your LO is short and pudgy like WJ was, I'd go with 24M as long as you can. But there's not a whole lot out there.
Also, I bought some jeans from baby gap in size 2T when he was just outgrowing his 24M stuff, and they were ridiculously big on him. They fit him now, now that he's outgrowing his 2T tops...!!

Thanks for the explanation! DD is somewhere in between. Technically she is in a higher height percentile than her weight, so I guess that puts her somewhat on the long and lean side... although she's pretty darn chubby if you ask me. -
24 months is also sometimes 18-24 months just like 18 is 12-18 so 2t is slightly bigger.

My friend also says that the main difference in 2T and 24 month is the length. Her daughter is smack dab in the middle of those two sizes.
